I'm all in. I enjoyed last years.

A lucky someone may be getting Mann Co. Key.

Or a hat.

I will also try to pair assign you to someone that you are friends with/care about so you will be motivated and have an idea of what would an ideal present be. This will also serve for you to have a higher chance of getting a valuable item from someone who likes you!

This quote from the "rules" of the Secret Santa. So essentially he will pick whom he wants to get what from whom. Not much random there. If i want to give my friend a gift, why do i need to be a Secret Santa. I just say "Hey bud, Merry Xmas, here is a gift"

Dumb idea Dan

Take me out of this thing.

It was taken as a suggestion from a couple of veterans of previous years that the event is more fun if you are gifting someone you know.
If you and others feel that this idea is dumb and unfair, I can easily just give everyone a number and have a generator select numbers and pair the numbers like that. The random method would be easier for me, but I'm trying to find a way that everyone can get the most out of it. It's a valid point you raise however so thank you.

The whole point of sending out PMs and briefs this early so that I can still adjust to suggestions and criticisms presented by the time that people will be assigned which will be no sooner than Monday December 9th

I have reason to believe you will not be honest with the results of your "random" numbers. I'll pass on this thing and just pick someone out of the blue on the forums to give a gift to.

Good luck with your "endeavor"

Random's much easier to do and more fun for the giver. Definitely randomize.

Please note the change in Poll.
The minimum value for gifts is going to be set at 3 refined because that is what the majority voted for and a higher minimum would cause some people to be unable to participate.

This new poll is to decide if you want a fully random system or not. This Poll will close on Friday December 6th.

Thank you.
