Skial servers, wich I love to bits, but...

Soz, i've been playing for quite a bit on skial servers and love them to bits. It does happen so once
in a while that somebody will join the server. Upon them making a few kills, they will start a vote to
mute and gag people with a mic / votescramble.

Pretty much, the people that were in the game for 3-4+ hours; will be muted and gagged. Yes, they can spam the vote, yes they can down multiple people. What gives?

My friends and I love this game, not all of us have skype; wich normally should be fine. Is there
something hat can be done? Like a counter-measure would be that the non-regs( or newly joined people in the server ) cannot vote for the first 10 mins? This would be a good one as one does get
a good feel of what the server would be like in the first ten minutes playing on that server Votescrambles that happen by these very same people ( when they think its unfair ) are not happening.

I mean. If a vote is truly about some douche, he/she will get voted yes and problem solved; i've just
noticed that the majority of the votes are made by people who JUST entered a game.

I love Skial and will play nonetheless as this is same elsewhere, just would like to see some
feedback of the regs on the forum here.

You can't vote for the first 10 minutes unless you're a donator or have enough AP (essentially a regular). Votemutes need 65% to pass I believe meaning a majority of the server wants you muted. If it's only one guy that doesn't want to hear you, tell him to client mute. I do it all the time. If the rest of the of the server just wants to be douchenozzles and votemute random people, we can't really control that. It used to be set at 95% or something, but then it was impossible to get anything passed.

i believe it is setup to where people who join cannot start votes for 15mins.

if someone is abusing the voting system, take screenshots and post them on the forum and we will ban them

Good to know. I shall from now on then. Make screenies of each vote they make when they do make more than one. Thanks so far.
Now i gotta go back in RL and kick some Demo butt
