I'm against it....it's an online game, valve has the mute function, we have votemute/gag - we lose when the servers become a police state.

Edit:
to clarify, I think it's wrong for players to go overboard, and I think in extreme situations admin intervention should happen, rule or not - I just think it's way too blanket a rule that can be misinterpreted easily, and start more drama than already currently exists.

"VoteHumiliate": If 100% of players vote "yes" then the person voted against will be forced into Humiliation, muted, and gagged for [however long votemute lasts.]

This solves every single problem. Ever.

I suggested this before, when everyone was talking about votekick being useless, and everyone agreed with it. Don't know why it didn't happen though

I don't really feel Voteban is all that useful, if there is an issue i don't bother calling a voteban, I simply report or come to the forums, or ask one of the admins on my friends list. For the amount of votes required 30 minutes isn't even worth it - not saying we should raise the amount, it needs to be ridiculous for idiots like that. Admins here do a good job, and I'm not sucking up, I really haven't seen a better managed community as far as helping regulars out in the servers on demand.

That said, lets try to keep on the topic - it's a legit suggestion even if I don't agree with it, not fair to derail it.

agaisnt other admins who harass other players
agaisnt who the admins ban. its not rocket science if u think about it

you guys want too many rules. putting a rule in for trash talking on a rated m game is sure going to upset some people, and possibly cause some to leave
protip: admins definitely shouldn't harass other players.

Several things in this post that I feel should be addressed.

First, admins shouldn't be harassing other users. They should be setting an example, if anything.

As for people taking sides, let them. As long as they don't stir up shit over it. It's not rocket science to figure out when somebody's being a colossal douchebag. If we had a rule that was simply put "show other users a remedial level of basic respect", then we could crack down on people who cross the line and take the fun out of playing the game.

Personally, I think Skial's server rules are too lax. People get away with a lot of shit. I mean, let's be honest. The only real rules that are ever enforced around here are "No hacking" and "No racism". And even then, people still manage to bend those rules and get away with it. I've seen people come in the servers with an admin present and start spraying the most visually offensive, pornographic images left and right, and nobody ever seems to do anything about that. I mean, I get that some people have sprays with chicks with huge racks, but nobody ever really wants to see an animated spray of 2girls1cup. Ever.

I mean, let's look at some other gaming networks which have super lax rules. Lotus, NightTeam, HellsGamers, etc. Those are garbage servers that nobody who actually respects the game would ever play regularly on. The only time I play on one of those servers is when quality servers like Skial are offline, or when I'm just too drunk to open the favorite list and just hit quick-play.

Also, TF2 is rated T.
