Most of them just thought it was cheap when I played VSH. Some douchenozzle that thinks he's the hottest shit in cyberspace would always be schooling noobies on how he's the superior player because he doesn't cap, and what would always result would be a 20 minute cat-and-mouse snoozefest. That's why primarily I just do Payload these days. I still don't see why banning scouts is a bad idea.

mp_time_limit is map time, not round time. I think [user]KinCryos[/user] is on the right track. Bottiger is currently distracted with another project, so I'll harass him later.

not a big fan of this on deathrun servers, if you take to much time on lets say dr_office, then choose minigame, it usually ends before the minigame can finish...
 
well, i'm one of these Vsh die hards.... if you get to play it alot ,it gets annoying if someone caps , for example, 2 players left, a engi nest and a FaN scout , you go for the engi camp...by the time you destroyed it all you lost because of a capping scout.

And banning scouts doesn't resolve that problem how?
why in gods name would you ban scouts? i just don't see why... then also ban spys because of dr, ban medics for uber, ban soldiers because they can jump away, ban engis because they can keep running away with teleports. If you play hale you shoud know you can get a scout easely...
 
Not really. Scouts will frequently hide and when you find them they just keep running away even if they're the only ones left. Even if soldiers jump away, at least they can do significant damage very fast, making it an actual match and not silly bullshit.
 
There are useful scouts at times. Either way, getting rid of a class isn't needed. Hale can catch scouts as long as he is competent or just caps to end the round. That's what I do if there is only scouts or spies left.
