Not trying to split hairs here, but "Scamming" and "Hacking", etc. are not rules. "No Scamming" and "No Hacking", etc. would be rules. Only one rule is actually written as a rule; "You are not allowed to break the rules on a backup account." But that wouldn't apply to a main account even if there were rules ;P

Hopefully this will help staff focus on rule enforcement versus dealing with a troublemaking grammar stickler/ law student. Because teeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeechnically, you don't have any rules. lol

Cheers,
BBQ!

It is dumb. lol. But how hard is it to write the rules correctly? Put "No" in front of stuff or a clause that states "the above actions are a violation of the rules".

The rules are fine as is. Anyone with any form of basic common sense understands the things listed are things you shouldn't be doing. In the years I've been here I've never seen someone assume you can hack, scam, etc. because there isn't a "no" placed in front of them

I'm not assuming, but I do speak English, and the rules do not follow parallel structure and therefore it would be incorrect to assume the individual meanings of each point. If the point about backup accounts were not there, it would be safe to assume the points are implied to be violations because they would all be parallel.

I am technically correct, the best kind of correct. At least I'm just pointing it out rather than breaking rules and making some asinine legal defense; cut me some slack. I'm pretty sure somebody who runs this group can take the five seconds to fix it.

That is a run-on sentence to point out run-on sentences to point out a logical flaw as well as language errors. I will use perfect English when you let me revise the wording and grammar of the rules. I do not study nor practice law (nor English for that matter, but come on, Server Rules is blatantly incorrect no matter how you try to defend it) :/

Even if you are technically correct that doesn't change the fact that its still not causing any problems. You're almost treating it as if the rules are no longer valid due to a small technical error

That's all I'm trying to say

I understand what you're saying and what the rules are intended to mean; however, I'm not acting like they're no longer valid. In fact,
...rather than breaking rules...
is a pretty clear example that I both understand their intended meaning and that they still apply. If you'd simply read my previous posts rather than disregarding them, you see that I'm being serious in trying to help with rule enforcement. The post about anarchy is clearly a joke. You can already see that somebody like me is a hassle to deal with, especially with technicalities, so I'm just trying to give others less cannon fodder in the situation that they would make a stink about the rules. Please just fix it. lol. Hell, add "The following are violations of the rules:". pl0xxx
