Cutting out bread works a LOT.

I lost 10 pounds in a few weeks by just cutting out bread. Also, sugars from soda, juice and other drinks will KILL YOU.
Go to the gym three times a week and do 45 min of cardio.

One of the nicest diets is Atkins... Foods with no carbs/ low carbs you can eat as much as you want... (all he bacon eggs and vegetables you could ever want)
 
Cutting your Food down to Bread, Peanut butter, And Water every few hours Can really help you. I am Thin as a Tree.
 
I used to be 260 in high school I lost about 70-80 pounds i think... over 5 or 6 months. My secret?

So. Much. Fucking. DANCE DANCE. I did that shit about an hour a day, and then when i was burning wieght I'd play for about 4 hours on expert and just do random shit. It was a lot of fun.

Also, very noble of you to want to lose weight. But remember why you got there in the first place. You lost control and didn't take care of your body. If you don't treat it right if/ after you lose the weight, then it'll happen again. :| (unless its medical related, did not read thread)
 
I really am happy too see someone make a kind of thread like this, it's going to be tough. But put alot commitment as possible into this and im sure you can pull it off.
As for dieting stay away from soda and anything with excessive sugar. Overweight people are much more likely to get diabetes especially if you have alot of sugar. Also stay away from excessive starch/bread. Does not have much nutritional value and only fills you up and turns into sugar and fat. Also eat as much vegetables as possible. They have tons of nutrients and low calories. As for exercising. Do anything from running, to going for walks at night, or picking up a new sport. Swimming is also extremely helpful because you are lighter underwater and will not strain your body as hard and you still burn calories. If you are insecure about swimming around lots of people just swim with a shirt on, or at a small beach (IF you have beaches in your area.) Best of luck!
 
Swimming is really good for your body and also try not to snack at all snacks are bad
 
so what's the status terdy. exercise helps a lot trust me i was doing it but i lost track after taking a trip so learn from me and work out 20 minutes on an exercise bike then do weights and situps and whatnot that's pretty much what i did and it worked out well so do it.

Thats basic exercise p90x or other workout tapes are helpful because of the diversity of exercises

Edit:Focus on a single area when you work out. If you plan on running do higher speeds for about 30 seconds then go down for 1 minute go back up and repeat for 20-30mins
