I use Ycopy, because I'm lazy.
Edit: Added a link to WITR with download.

What sucks about Ycopy is that it doesn't copy the files that are currently being used. It just skips them.
I'd recommend using robocopy which is available as a part of Windows Resource Kit in Win7. Simple robust command that copies everything. In addition, it could be set up as a task through a batch file.

One thing i hate about my hardrive is i have a semi corrupt ntfs file system, and am too lazy to reformat. It is wierd cause my computer boots and works fine, but whenever i need to run something that requires strictly ntfs (eg windows backup) the hardrive stalls for a minute or two then resumes whatever it is doing. sometimes the applications time out because the hdd stalled too long. i know i need to reformat, but i dont want to take the time to make an image using something else of a 600gb disk (yes i do have backups incase of failures). I could have gone with raid, but at the time hdds were way too expensive!
