Ok, before this starts, I'm going to appologize in advance. This is my first kind of report so I'm not 100% sure how to do it. I've already looked at the threads telling how to file a report, but they all seem to be In Game reports.

Time: 8:00 PST
Steam Profile: Profile was private, couldn't find it online either for some reason
What happened: So basically, today I finished playing for the day and saw a friend request. It was from some random guy that I've never seen before. He said that he really needed to see how the Sober Stuntsman looked on his demo and he'd give me a hat that I could keep forever. Then when I mentioned the topic of scammers, he kind of went beserk using caps and saying that he wasn't one and that he really just wanted to see it. I was kinda suspicious so I never actually gave it to him. Every time I said just go to the wiki to see the hat, he just made up some lame excuse. He claimed that he knew a friend of mine from Terraria, but never said who he actually was. I asked him why his steam profile was private and he said it was "some sort of glitch" which is obviously a lie.

Sorry, I don't know how to get his steam id or anything. And he never actually took any of my items so I'm not worried about it too much, but I still want to know if this was an attempted scam or not. I don't know, just seemed suspicious. If anyone can get back to me on time, I'll still of the chat open just incase I can get his steam id from there.

Just searched the name on Steam. He fortunately has a very specific name so he was the only one. Here's his chat logs from our trade server: http://www.skial.com/stats/hlstats.php?mode=chathistory&player=3091277 Don't really see anything there. No alts I can tell of, although the IP addresses MIGHT be VPNs since the IPs match DynDNS and No-IP servers. I'll wait to see what Xel or Faron has to say. Does sound very fishy to me though.
 
That's why I was saying possible scammer, like he seemed like one.

Also, whenever I look up his name on Steam, it says nobody's found.
 
Typically people ask to see the hat on YOU as whatever class they are buying for....at least, in my experience they do.
