As I was playing minecraft, I was automatically disconnected and it said that there was not enough memory for minecraft to save. Until this is fixed, I cant go on. How do I make more memory space for minecraft ?

This happens when either you are running a lot of mods/HD textures. If you have a 32-bit OS then update your drivers. If you can upgrade to 64-bit Java. If you can't then use the first thing.

have you just recently installed? You might not be playing the actual installed version, I've seen people do this before and they would get kicked every few minutes because they ran out of memory

I dont think its the installed version.

It's a problem with JAVA not having enough memory allocated to it. I used to have the exact same problem

Solution:

A: Reduce your render distance from Far to Normal

B: Download a 64-bit version of JAVA (you probably have a 32-bit)

C: Manually change the amount of memory JAVA uses for minecraft through an overcomplicated process that eludes me.
