Does anyone else feel like a lot of the music in smash 4 is super generic? It seems like everything is a rock remix. I know Brawl did the same thing too, but at least the style varied more.

I really like what they did with Luigi's Mansion and Fire Emblem, and neither of those are full-on rock but I can see what you mean with other games like Xenoblade.

I can't judge for Wii U songs, haven't heard enough. I like the Battle! Zekrom/Reshiram remix at least.
 
Customs are net. They turn a poopy character like Charizard into a not so poopy character.

It was sadly nothing special. Mewtwo Roy and GnW were in it even though they weren't supposed playable, but there was nothing huge. Dash dances and wave dashes were longer.
