Starting last week there has been an influx of new faces bumping some old shit. Can we archive some of the older threads? I would prefer just to start warning players but not here to backseat mod so the archiving sounds easier. If you necro an archived thread without some decent reason you should get a vacation. I'm pissed because that green energy tossle I wanted to buy was from april........

Banning people for bumping threads sounds useless, even if they're new. I'm sure the mods have better things to do with their time.

To be perfectly honest, I've never understood why necro bumping has ever been a problem. If the necrobump is relevant to the topic, why shouldn't it be allowed?

Or well, that's the argument you get most of the time, and it's a logical argument. However, I'll +1 this without any rational or logical response as to why because I just think it's fucking annoying.
Or you could just ignore the threads?

Let's face it, no one here will bother to check the date of threads unless there's a post by Doki in there.

lol

How do you ignore a thread if your trying to catch up on the days posts? My issue is the trade threads. Just this week I have seen the tossle cap I referenced and like 3 threads for strang festive knives. Pain in the ass to join the convo just to find out its months old.

As far as board mods and their time goes necro bumping for what appears tobe for nothing constructive is post padding at its finest.

-1. Who honestly cares? I know it is terrible, the entire 2 seconds you spend looking at it and all. Must really hurt the ole' noggin.

My time is valuable and I like to read recent threads that actually matter. I should clarify. Does necro bumping have a use....sure if the conversation is relevent. Bumping an 8 month old trade thread is bullshit.

You make no sense if the thread is included with recent posts. Just bow out of this thread at this time.

Isn't there a way to automatically lock a thread if it's inactive for say, a week or two?

Lol, "new faces", you didn't even know who Genocide was, you're the new face here

I still don't know who genocide is? Is he a top trader? An elite tf2 gamer? A very productive and informative forum poster? I don't recognize the name. Happens when you encounter someone with no relevence.

Doesn't matter. He created a thread on Skial over one year ago, one which he linked in the very thread where you questioned his newcomership (or whatever it's called), so he oughta be somewhat relevant.

I'll say it again. I was on the mobile and the forum add ins don't show. I have no idea who he is and when he posted that for his 2nd post I'm going to bring back a necro thread I logically thought he was new to the forums. I think my reply would back that thought up with his behavior and being new.

You're really taking this whole thing out of hand. If it's too hard to check the dates when people commented on thread, then may God have mercy on your soul.

Then just downvote it. I'm not the members raging all of a sudden. Last I checked typing -1 or +1 isn't that hard. It was a suggestion. If you want to view months old trade threads knock yourself out. I got better ways to spend my time.

And the sarcasm you can keep. Comes off juvenile........
