Adam has been trolling for 2 hours, he's sexually harassing kaleidoscope asking her to show her butthole and let him lick her pussy, we asked him to stop and succefully kicked him but he came back a few minutes more making fun of us, he reported someone called "devour" because we tried to kick him agan and devour got banned.

While sexual harassment doesn't sync up with my idea of "insults to gender" I personally don't think it's reasonable having all four of these people gagged given how far you're pushing it in your chatlogs.

Adam is right though - Talking about weird shit or asking weird questions isn't currently against the rules. Sure, it might be creepy as hell, but if you really dislike it then you can client mute them via the menu. That is why Valve added the mute feature after all. Voting against someone for being creepy technically is vote abuse so I wouldn't be surprised if devour stayed gagged.

Even after asking to stop he continued.. He unjustly used the reporting system because he was upset I got him kicked. I voted ONCE, someone else started another vote, I get banned for 1600 minutes.

I have no idea why this even needs to be considered by other people, its clear whats going on here, but you're the admin, do your thing.

I guess using the chat to irritate and molest other player is totally cool with the rules.

We asked him to stop and he just started making fun of us, who were having a lot of fun and it got ruined since he was spamming those questions and devour got banned.

I'd just like to make it perfectly clear that I'm not an admin so don't worry too much about what I post. Although if it were up to me, I would keep you gagged. It's your responsibility to learn the rules and technically you did break a rule by starting a vote against Adam. If you don't like what someone is saying then simply mute them and move on. I don't see why it was necessary to start a vote at all... This just looks like white-knighting to me. All of you could have simply muted this guy and been done with it.

Doesn't muting only block microphone communication only? Which he wasn't using? He was using the chat... Believe me everyone on the server was uncomfortable with it so it isn't just a me thing. I learned my lesson as well with the voting aspect of this. However, I think delicate situations like this should be taken on a case by case basis. The admins have the screenshots now and are investigating. Like you said, you aren't even an admin, so I'm not sure why your input or concern is necessary. The admins will make a decision.

When you mute someone via the menu it will block the players voice and text chat as well as voice commands. I think they made that change last year so it's not exactly a new feature.

Instead of calling votemutes against each other, you can client mute (which also blocks chat) or type /ignore <username> for the same effect.

Harassing someone isn't against the rules for many reasons. One is you can easily ignore the person and continue playing. The other is it is really hard to enforce and to see if something was a joke or not.

I don't see anything in sandlers chat logs that warrents a silence. The woman just needs to ignore him.

No one will be silenced.
