Is there still a scene for common-league TF2?
The year is 2020, and there's still one poor sap who can't let go of the old days, me.
It's nice to come back to this game to see how it has aged. The casual queuing still hasn't fully set in. Game still has as choppy of an FPS as before. However, what kept me playing it at the time were the "regular joe" competitive leagues, with little or no reward other than perhaps bragging rights. UGC League, for me primarily. It wasn't high-skill, but it was fun.
I've gone onto the that site in particular just today, hoping to find some new "Looking for Players" posts, but found their forums to be completely inaccessible. TF2Center, at the same time, is moving at a snail's pace. Is there a scene anymore?
If I just missed the big new site or group that everyone's in for pugging, please let me know. I want to play at a cooperative level again, not forever stuck in Skial servers. Is there a place for me anymore?
