I don't know why this random topic came to my head but I was thinking about what I would do if I could live forever, without aging. Not immortality, just incapable of aging thus incapable of dying of old age. As I pondered I realized I'd probably be doing the same thing I'm doing now; playing video games and slacking off in college.
:p
So, if you guys could live forever, without aging (NOT immortal), what would you do?
Edit: OK so you might not want to live forever. Let's say you were hit by a magical beam of age-stoppingness from a wizard against your will.

say 'YAY' and go back to usual business and get hit by a car because roads are evil.

if you could live forever money would be worthless imo

also i would feel bad for those that already hate their lives or have a shitty one

If you could live forever without aging, chances are you'd still die within 100 years from cancer or some other form of fatal disease/accident.

I for one have thought about this many of times. I have Cancer and knowing that, I have already come to the realization that my life span will be much shorter than normal. So for me instead of thinking of living agelessly, I just hope I live long enough to see my family grow and prosper. I would love to see the kids go off and complete college, maybe have a few grandchildren or who knows.

When you know your time is limited more so than others, you do a lot of hoping.

I'm sorry to hear that Mathias. It kinda makes me feel like an asshole for posting now. I wish the best for you and your family

Don't feel sorry for me.

It's kind of a Karma thing I believe. I was a raging asshole before I became ill. In an out of trouble, drugs, not caring about others emotions, fighting and the list can go on and on. If it wasn't for Cancer opening my eyes and making me realize that life has more to offer than being a total prick, I might be in prison or even dead.

We are all given a life to live, it's how we live that life that makes us who we are and I can say that today I am a better person because of it.

Alright so maybe this wasn't the best conversation topic. It sounded good in my head :|

i'd start to lead and prepare human civilization to migrate to another planet when it gets to difficult to live due to the size of earth then be Humanities new leader as we get to our new destination then tell some random people to lead the others and spread them across the new planet, telling them not to tell anyone of their past lives and only to start families and evolution all over again and hide as the new planet's guardian

I would play a crap load of TF2 and Minecraft and then watch doctorwho, with the added addition of afterwards watching monty python!

I agree with the "just because you can't age doesn't mean you can't die", I'm pretty sure that if someone shot you you'd still die, no matter how young or old you are, but if I did, I'd maintain a healthy diet to try and stay alive while learning as much as I can from each era to pass it on to the next one, and so forth.

Smoke, drink and have sex!

But on a real term... I guess I would try a bit of all since I have time.. By live forever I am sure that you don't mean regenerating cells/Heal from wounds so I would try to do a lot of things I couldn't, spent time around the world, try different jobs.
(Most importantly, get a bunch of unusuals, vintages, genuines and stranges in TF2)

I wouldn't live forever though, I would eventaully after 300 years just, kill myself I suppose, or maybe 500 years but not 2,000 years or even 1,000 years because you'll just get bored and you'll have to deal with changing your name every 100 years and changing all your life info. so you won't get caught by the government or anything XD

I hate to break it to you but a lot of people will age and die in front of you anyway.

Yeah but you'd be seeing generations and generations of people (even your own children's children's, etc) just come and go after you. At a certain point (which I would assume would be around 100 years old) you'd probably be more of a nuisance than anything else. That kinda stuff makes you sort of wish you couldn't live forever.

I remember seeing it in a movie once, where a younger generation character met his great-great-great.. grandfather and wished that he could live forever as well. Alas, the grandfather recounted how he constantly lived as the children of his children died, and so on. The thought of that would make me pretty damn depressed.
