Well, I've been thinking of getting a new smartphone for a while now. Can't think of a good enough phone at present though, so I was thinking you guys could help. A couple of things though-
I can't buy an iPhone, 'cause I only buy phones without contract and those exploitative assholes over at Apple, noticing how no one buys phones on contract in my country, have deliberately jacked up the prices of an unlocked 5S to an insane Indian equivalent of 1200 dollars.
My phone should tick as many of these criteria-
1) Should be reasonably durable and long lasting, because I mean to make my phone last at least a couple of years
2) Good battery life and/or a removable battery
3) No lag. Don't really care how many processors/cores etc it has, but it should run most apps.
4) Either large storage OR an SD card slot
5) Not too large a screen. I can't stand those "phablets" or whatever they are called.

Blackberry Z10 has impressive speed and physical appearance. Also has expandable storage, removable battery and Adobe Flash support

Edit: just checked the price is around $180 USD. Not sure about India

I've seen the Z10....it's kinda terrible and overpriced here, to be honest. What else?

iPhones are overpriced pieces of shit, get an Android :D

iPhones are only over priced if you buy it without a plan. Otherwise they are just like any other phone.

I got my iPhone 5s for $50 with a two year contract. You can't tell me that is over priced.

Stores are offering them for free over here with a two year contract hehe

How bout the Nexus 5
I was seriously considering the Nexus 5. Problem is, its battery isn't that good, apparently and it's also non removable, so I'll be fucked when its max capacity goes down in an year when the battery starts discharging very quickly. And my phone needs to last a couple of years

Pretty sure Samsung Galaxy S4 has a removable battery and SD Card slot

Hmm. Well, that's one phone to consider. Anything else? How are those Lumia phones?
Sweet processor and whatnot just whether or not you are willing to trade the Google Play marketplace for the Windows one.

Eh, I don't really mind, as long as I can listen to music, watch a couple of movies and click some photos. I use my phone more like an iPod than like a phone, lol
A few games would be nice though.
Thanks for the help, just keep throwing as many suggestions as you can at me, haha.
HTC? Sony?

Haha I have Windows 8 for my PC and although not entirely the same experience as a phone, the Marketplace top games are either 2D racing games or stick man "action" haha

Well, I've been considering this phone called Xperia ZR. It's not too expensive either (slightly less than the Nexus 5)
It's got-
Android 4.2
4.6 inches screen
SD card capacity upto 32 GB (plus 8 GB internal)
13 MP camera
1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro Quad Core Processor
Removable battery (2300 mAh)
It's also waterproof and "dust-resistant".
Well? This or the Nexus 5?

Galaxy S4 Active has always been a neat one. It's made to be a bit more durable than most phones.

And dear god, don't get a windows phone.
