Detailed Explanation / Screenshots / Demos:
Person said N-word at least twice.

Micspammed a song with anti-semitic lyrics.

Said "13/56", referencing the "statistic" that black individuals commit 13% of crime, and a meme about mixed race Americans.

(Will mention this due to the rules about stereotypes but not sure if Skial considers it problematic, and also other people were doing the same thing around the same time.) Does a stereotypical Asian accent while talking about rice cakes.

Due to the garbage way of doing things regarding Skial's rules, I did not have the foresight to start recording BEFORE someone decided to start speaking. And apparently calling admins to come and listen directly is just beyond the leadership here.

However, I only have timestamps for some of the files. I don't remember if anything happened in the others, mainly so it wasn't all just clumped up in one big file that I'd have to watch back through and potentially make you suffer through more of.

That being said:

grug.dem - Says N-word, 7:49

grug2.dem - Says N-word, 9:25

grug3.dem - Mentions abolishing civil rights and says "black people were well-behaved in the '50s", 5:06-~5:25

grug4.dem - Again, questionable example regarding accent, 10:24. I don't think it's egregious, at least perhaps not on its own, but this is up to Skial's discretion. Unless you want to punish the others who can be heard doing these accents somehow as well, I don't think it's worth it. But I'm not you!

grug5.dem - Anti-semitic micspam, start of demo.

grug13.dem - 13/56 reference, start of demo.

Thank you for the reply. If this person does it again, what will the next response be? If it's not a permaban, I'm likely not going to bother. To make sure the audio is clear enough, I have to intentionally avoid noisy situations. So I'm getting on a video game... To actually play the game and have fun... But I can't do that because you demand evidence of me to get a person saying racist and anti-Semitic stuff (whether they're joking or not) on a server that, whether you like it or not, has kids and otherwise-impressionable people on it. And I can't give you evidence if my hitsound or the 'whoosh' sound effect of a deathcam is playing over whatever offensive stuff the person is saying.

You know what would be helpful? Letting me contact an admin to come on and hear this stuff. Who probably, y'know, changes their name or w/e so the person doesn't go "oh shoot an admin time to stop talking". I suggested this in my report of Ren and I got no response about it so I'm saying it here too.
 
Then add an admin on steam? It isn't that hard to do and everyone does it. We are never going to perma-ban first offenders. Nothing to tell you if you don't agree with that. The punishment length system is as follows

  • 3 days
  • 1 week
  • 1 month
  • Permanent
We're also not going to punish players without evidence, that isn't negotiable

I tried to the other day but I had no idea where to go. It also looked like most people were offline, AND the Steam group for Skial Admins says it may not be up to date. So those two things put me off.

If I was supposed to look elsewhere, well... I'll accept looking like a dumbass, but where was I supposed to look, exactly? Where can I/could I find an updated list of admins?

I wasn't saying that you should punish without evidence. I was saying that because I couldn't get an admin ON, I needed to rely on evidence, but if it's not clear due to noise (Again, meaning I can't play the game to guarantee that it IS clear) then it would rightly be invalid. It's just more of me expressing frustration over being unable to contact someone, and not demanding people be punished without due process. I'd certainly want evidence present if I break the rules rather than being punished for no reason, so just by that basic metric I'd want everyone else to have the same security.
 
The Skial Admin group is mostly up to date, most of Skial's admins are in it, and I am active during most hours of the day and night EST, so you can reach out to me whenever
