I somewhat doubt you will receive your car back. They will probably just fix it and consider this a launch problem. Bad luck for anyone who ran into this.. I wouldn't have known that either, should be glad my garage is only filled with 5 cars/10, so I did not run into this bug. I am sorry for you. I can only imagine how annoying it must be spending money into buying a car, tuning it.

About the compound ingame, they say if you dont get your car out, they destroy it. Yes. But you can easily call the insurance company and pay the price for the car so it is in your garage again. It will never be permanently destroyed. Just saying, cause it seemed you didn't know.

The worst part is that I already had free spots in my garage, the cars I took back to my garage duplicated into 2 cars each and replaced my other vehicles that I actually bought.
And I did know about the insurance and compound, I made sure to always pay the fine and get them back before leaving each game because I didn't want this exact scenario to happen :(
 
Yea well, the overdramatic message about "Get your car out or else it will end up being destroyed" leaves the impression it'll be gone forever. I believed that too until I didnt get mine out in time (1 ingame day i think) and it was destroyed. Imagine the frustration, alike yours in your current scenario! Then I thought, hey I paid for it, wouldnt it be unfair to permanently destroy it only because I didnt get it out in 24 minutes? I tried calling insurance, and I was able to retrieve it 1% the original price.
Your situation however... I don't know if Rockstar has the ability to reset your progress to a certain date since save data is stored in the cloud and only they have exclusive access to that data. It might be worth asking for it. But don't get your hopes too high, I heard bad stuff about rockstar support...
 
Either my game is bugged, or a lot of people have been downloading the hacks that got released a few days ago.
  • I'm walking in passive mode, I get launched in the air and it says I committed suicide.
  • I shoot a wanted dude about 10 times with my sniper, his HP doesn't change. He shoots me once with his sniper, it says he "bombed me" and I explode.
  • I drive my car, some guy rockets me and explodes my car with me inside, says I committed suicide and makes me pay the insurance.
Safe to say, unless Rockstar starts stepping its shit up I'm going to uninstall the fuck out of this game and ask for a refund.

They did put a page up for automatic refunds when the game didn't work for half of the people who bought the game, hopefully they'll do the same if hacks get out of control. I doubt it, but it would be the fair thing to do.

You're not alone bby. My first time playing online on PC I was being chased down by this one guy in a car that was invincible, and he could throw sticky bombs that detonate right as he threw them so that was fun.
 
Last night someone made it rain moneybags after an invisible person sniped the shit out of me and @ozzeh several times. I accidentally grabbed some since it spawned right on top of me, but wtf.

Anyone know how to change your characters appearance? Like gender and shit? I've been looking around and haven't really seen anything yet that's for the PC.

I also bought a couple dune buggies in my Blaine county garage and upgraded the fuck out of my guns and cars, with still another ~300k to spare. If I find another hacker I'll definitely be buying an Adder and some more luxury cars. Also some military grade vehicles for the lolz.
