It's possibly worse than Flash player, as only MS uses it and hell, even MS is practically abandoning it as well. C'mon HTML5 streaming! All HTML5 needs is streaming and it can finally do everything that Flash can do and better!

I'm pretty sure Netflix still uses Silverlight when you stream series.

They have an HTML5 streaming beta with EME (Encrypted Media Extensions) which translates to DRM in simpler terms.
