Sigh...a woman can dream...
The best internet available in my area is Time Warner. Too bad I have Windstream, the poor man's Time Warner.

The chances of Comcast stepping out are as big as Seahawks winning this Superbowl this Sunday (he-he).
I'm not a crazy football fan, but they've been having a pretty crazy winning streak and have some top notch players

If Wilson is gonna play the same way he was playing against Green Bay - they'll have no chances because Brady is not Rodgers. Brady can pull touchdowns out of his ass.
If the Patriots keep deflating the balls you might be right....
Nah.. There's always gonna be an excuse... Bad officials, deflated balls, bird took a shit on quarterback's throwing hand, aliens used laser beam to change ball's trajectory...
Seattle is never getting Fiber :(
Seattle is never getting a Superbowl Cup either. :)

I'd be plenty happy with 20 mbps if the ISPs would stop hijacking consumer's data and taking unfair (and boarderline unethical) advantage of consumers every chance they get. I'm looking at you, Charter, with you nasty DNS servers that resolve everything to a search on your search portal, and I'm looking at you, Comcast, with your WiFi routers that are a public hotspot by default. Also, recently I had considered getting cable TV to find out that clear QAM no longer exists. Upon realizing that I decided that television is a dead technology only enjoyable by couch zombies. That is assuming that the rediculous amount of advertisements didn't kill it already.

You'll never actually get close to those download speeds considering that most download servers aren't optimized for them yet.

AT&T Gigapower (1GB download and upload) now plans to build in my area! For the lowest price in years $110.00 Per month

I'm not going for that. They took enough money from me these past years. I think ill just wait for Google to save me from this monstrosity.

I heard it in a youtube video so thought I'd mention it here.
Apparently, If you pay the 300$ installation price, you'll get a free lifetime 1 mbps up/down internet connection.

That's like paying for mains water to be run to your house and getting a dripping tap for life.

its not that great i live in austin i guess if you have your wifi unlocked so you wil l have your whole neighborhood connected 2 it other than that i dont see the use of 1 gb of up and down for a single household

Pretty much. The speed is terrible too.
I don't see why google decided to add this plan.

"Make the Internet a right for everyone." Meh.

I still want that 70$ plan but it'll probably takeep forever to reach territories outside the US.

for someone without a whole lot of money, it's not that bad an invest, or if it's in a second home. but, other than that, it's probably just something to get every dollar they can.

Is that Google Fiber or the AT&T Gigapower?
