We all like video games(Right? RIGHT?!). We have favorite characters, stories, music, items, puzzles, scenes, moves, and tons of other shit in games.

But then you get those games out there: You know them, you hear the praise of them, you are told by friends of their brilliance, and you go give it a shot and......realize it is not your taste.

This is dedicated to the games you personally could not get into or just can't get why people love them while you don't like them. Try to keep it civil as can be. We all have different opinions.

For me, I could never get into 2 games. First one is Bioshock Infinite. I am a HUGE Bioshock fan. The first one is a masterpiece and is easily in my top 10 greatest games of all time. It was followed with a more action oriented sequel that was a tad harder at times and a little bit less of a story yet was still fantastic. Then Infinite comes and I hear the hype and praise for it for months. I wait anxiously to play it and August 2013 comes. I play it then and, sorry to say, I do not enjoy this game. After completion I reminisced and realized that this game is not good. The visuals are stunning, the music is very good, and that story may be the best in the series, but the gameplay is awful to me. The guns feel totally bland, enemies are no threat, ammo and health is too plentiful, difficulty spikes make this game unbalanced, and any horror aspects are completely gone. This is the weakest in the series to me and I hope the next is more of what the first was than the third.

Second one is a series and, boy, if I do not get criticized I will be surprised. One of the biggest franchises that has been tearing up the charts and reeling in all sorts of gamers the past few years. The company has been widely known as the best company in this day and age. Yet I have tried and still can't get into them.

My second is the Elder Scrolls series and I HAVE TRIED! I borrowed Skyrim off a friend and played it for 6 hours. That is a small dent in a game as massive as Skyrim but I checked out. I got through the first dungeon with the Claw and just was not enjoying it entirely. And don't say it's only Skyrim. I bought Oblivion with all the DLC and played that for 10 hours. Did not like it. I enjoy the look, story and especially the music in the games but GOD I think the gameplay is boring, the dungeons are eh, the enemies lack punch, and the navigation is pretty easy yet feels too easy. It lacks that adventure or exploration feel you get in games like Zelda or Fallout. Now, I don't hate Bethesda. I love Fallout to death and it is one of my favorite series. But the Elder Scrolls, as far as I have played, is not for me at this point. If I get my own PC I will gladly try again but as it stands I am not a fan.

Battlefield Bad Company 2.

I got it a month or two ago and jumped right into the campaign. Tried really hard to like it but the bot squadmates were just sorta passive chaperones that got dragged along. Then I tried out multiplayer and the matchmaker put me in a bunch of 999-ping games with the same Russian guy over and over so I uninstalled.

The uninstallation freed up a nice amount of disc space though so I'll give it a 7/10.

I don't like any MOBA games, people keeps telling me to play Dota or LoL, "try it, it's epic" they say.
I already tried Dota 2 and saw some gameplays of LoL and I get bored easily on this kind of games.

I have more fun hitting people with a pan.

Honestly, almost any horror game.
Sounds cheesy but it takes away from my experience.
I like games with compelling stories and characters but from my experience most horror games are missing that and it's just about a spreading virus. I only really can get into games with a specific antagonist or a team on team sort of aspect to it. That being said, horror games are creative, just being sqeemish and not having those aspects most of the time turn me away.

I also don't like a lot of shooters other people like, like Call Of Duty and the sort.
The only real FPS games I got into were Halo and TF2, and the only reason was because they were creative and had a story that compelled me.

I've always been more of a Fantasy / RPG / Adventure kind of guy.

Honestly, Metroid games. I have tried them before and I really cannot get into them.

I don't get how that is confusing, Metroid games plain and simple.

Dota 2. I've honestly tried to play it, but just can't get into it. It's not that fun of a game to me and the people I've seen/heard play it seem to be real assholes. It's just a game but.. whatever

Any CoD game. I've played and beaten 2 (which was pretty good) and Black Ops, but that was almost too much. CoD is way too repetitive and boring each game, having pretty much the same content and maybe with some changed stuff to make it seem 'fresh' and fun.

Dota 2 - While I can appreciate the strategy, I couldn't get into it. Maybe down the road when I have more time.

LoL - Tried it and didn't get into it

Final Fantasy series - played a little and just couldn't get into them.

Pokemon - Any of them. Perhaps it's my age, but It never appealed to me

Starcraft - meh

I've not liked a game and then came back to it a few years later and enjoyed playing it. I think, sometimes it has to do with what peaks your interest at the time.

Pokemon got old for me as well. Every game is just like the older game except with different pokemom names. Got boring.

Every single simulation game. I don't even get the point in these.

Building games. (minecraft, terreria, ect). Boring.
