Making this thread in hopes to remove the autoscramble feature on 24/7 Turbine Server as it kills the server immediatly.
Most of the regulars that play on that server can say that the population issue is because of the autoscramble after you cap feature,
if that was to be removed so that the gameplay is constant fun like in every 24/7 2fort map would make a drastic change to the server health.
Obviously the issue arises when theres a team constantly stomping/spawn camping the other. We can fix the votescramble feature and with skials
ratios it will more than likely pass. This post is made in hopes that we can have 24/7 Turbine populated at all times so many players can enjoy it at all hours of the day.

Pls thumbs up and comment<3

+1 This has already been an issue on 2fort and the server usually just votes to scramble if they have enough of camping. Turbine is a meme map much like 2fort and not meant for serious objective play, which is why I agree that having teams reset after rounds is counterintuitive to what most people play for and disrupts the flow of the game

+1 indeed lot of ppl leave then and ruins war which was ongoing, also vote system is cooked its like random pass who presses f1 by some troll or what

I see two different issues.

(1) When one team reaches the cap limit, the map resets.
(2) When there's a domination imbalance and a team wins, there's a scramble.

I suspect that, if autoscramble was removed entirely and that was the only change, the server wouldn't stay active any longer than it does currently. I think people often leave after the cap limit is reached because it's a natural stopping point, a good number of the regulars have often been on the server for a long time already, and usually matches with many people last a long time, easily more than an hour on average. But the problem is that a critical mass of 25+ players seems to be needed to keep attracting more joiners, so such a natural stopping point that could result in 1/3 of the server leaving at one time is a problem and can cause others to leave after seeing the population drop. Most other servers either don't have single matches that last so long, or they have reset conditions that are rarely or never reached.

I know when I leave when a match ends, I'm never thinking about the teams or the scramble. I'm thinking about other things I want or need to do.

Something else that makes Turbine different from other maps is that the side that has mid has a sizable advantage over the side that doesn't. It's common to see one side where more than half of the players have 2+ doms each, and the other side has only 2 or 3. I also suspect players are moderately more likely to leave the server if they're on the side without mid, and some more experienced players intentionally join the team that already has mid when they join the server. So, when a round ends, usually there's at least a bit or more of team stacking. Sometimes the losers say something like "End the pain already" when the other team is close to locking down their intel room (and may be justified in being less attracted to playing with their current teammates in a theoretical new round).

I think match length followed by a map reset is a much bigger driver of why people leave, and that scrambling, in contrast is somewhat helpful - but, unfortunately, those two things usually happen at the same time, making it harder to identify cause and effect.

I'm torn. If the cap limit was significantly increased or removed, that could remove the natural stopping point that I think is the problem. It'll also mean that, depending on the teams, the team without mid has little hope of the situation improving that play session ("you load 16 tons...") - but that's worth keeping the server alive longer.

+1 I fully support this. Autoscramble kills the momentum and it's frustrating to see the server empty out right after a good game. Getting rid of it would definitely keep players around longer.

This works great for serious gamemodes like payload, control points etc. But Turbine is more like an endless deathmatch mode to most people. So ideally I'd like there to be no auto scramble on round end and no round end at all but rather an infinite game players can reset or scramble themselves via votemenu if they want to

I also suspect players are moderately more likely to leave the server if they're on the side without mid
Guilty as charged, one reason I don't like Turbine at all is because I only play sniper and without mid it's just close combat which I don't personally enjoy

Easiest +1 ever. Not on here much nowadays but this should be mentioned a lot more to other people.

There should be no auto scramble option unless it’s a more serious server, not like Turbine/2Fort. Those maps mentioned are considered death match maps by the playerbase and there are hardly complaints about team stacking or the other team having more doms (unless you are regularly playing and make yourself well known to the servers)

People usually leave after a round ends because there’s life stuff that happens, or people get bored.

Another alternative I guess is to increase the capture count to win the game. Whatever it is (I think it’s 4), it is too little, and causes the server to die a bit quicker.

This part, some of you like to stay on 1 side and just farm which drives people out too. People leave at the end of the round out of relief more than getting autobalanced. Being auto'd to the defensive team is a test in patience which most of you don't have.
