Jabu let us know that ETF2L (European Team Fortress 2 League) is setting up another season.

Signup ends September 9th.

Format
  • 6v6
Prizes
  • Premiership winner: 1500€
  • Premiership runner-up: 750€
  • Premiership third place: 252€
  • Medals added by Valve
I believe this tournament will be played on European servers. Jabu said "We do take americans and put them in the same division (so they play at an appropriate timezone) if we get enough of them." but I'm not sure how the prizes would be duplicated for the US region.

I wonder if there will really be medals.
They promised medals by Valve for last November's HL season, but we never got them.

Weird that UGC Season 8 didn't get the same attention with 2 Skial originated teams (I know of) participating too...

prolly due to the lack of cash prizes.

also more like 4+ teams last season.

Thanks bottiger for the post. I expect to see some skial teams in prem!

To clarify, ETF2L is a euro league. That means if an American team plays a euro team, then it will probably be played at a euro time (like 8-9 pm CEST) and on a euro server. However, if enough American teams sign up, then they will probably be placed in the same division, which means that they can play on an American server (we even have an American server) and at an American time.

We won't discourage any American teams from signing up. Teams such as GG (top American highlander team) and highlander.tf2.eu (top highlander team comprrised of Americans and euros) have competed at a very high level in ETF2L so it is definitely possible.

I know this is a really short notice period (one more week until signups end) but after i46, who wouldn't want to play some 6v6?
