To clarify, ETF2L is a euro league. That means if an American team plays a euro team, then it will probably be played at a euro time (like 8-9 pm CEST) and on a euro server. However, if enough American teams sign up, then they will probably be placed in the same division, which means that they can play on an American server (we even have an American server) and at an American time.
We won't discourage any American teams from signing up. Teams such as GG (top American highlander team) and highlander.tf2.eu (top highlander team comprrised of Americans and euros) have competed at a very high level in ETF2L so it is definitely possible.
I know this is a really short notice period (one more week until signups end) but after i46, who wouldn't want to play some 6v6?
