Server-Clearing Cynic
So you have a copy of FF7 you bought some odd years back. You have the cases and the dics, but you're missing the second disc from over the years. Luckily Playstation store is selling digital copies of the game. Now this is nice, but wouldn't it be easier if you could have saved your physical copy in digital format via PSN? Or Steam? Or Xbox Live? Instead of having to buy a digital copy of the game, you could upload or record on your account you've already bought the physical game. Steam does this to some extent, in which I bought a physical copy of the game and it was saved on Steam. I dont see why PSN or Xbox Live couldn't facilitate this. I have about 50ish games I'd love to record incase they were ever lost or damaged.

DRM discussion general

that'd be a great idea but it would never happen because microsoft and sony wouldnt make money from it

Because PSN and Xbox are lazy and greedy. Steam actually cares about making people happy and producing quality programing. They're not in it for just the money.
