Sufficiently Lethal Scout
While playing DR, I noticed Junglemines was gone from the map pool. Why? Did it have a good reason to be removed? The suggestion from a week ago said to move it to parkour, but it isn’t even there, it’s just straight gone. Why?

It was a good map and there is no reason for it to be removed.
 
+1 I know certain individuals close to Bottiger didn't like but from a stats perspective there was no reason to remove it, server was almost always full with it on and it was played quite regularly, plus it was just really well themed.

Kind of ambushed by this, I never got the vibe that Skial ever didn't like the map. Guessing there was an undisclosed aspect for its removal.

My guess for undisclosed aspect what be certain members of the skial community arguing it was to hard for dr,even if it was only barely borderline "to hard". And maybe it was to hard but it's still super easy compared to some of the synth wave parkour hell maps that get up voted here.

People are blaming me for it's removal when @Bottiger would have probably removed it anyway. The reality is that players left when the map was on most likely because of the difficult strafe jumps. Overall I don't think junglemines is a bad map but if it's causing players to leave then how can we justify keeping it on the rotation?

Just because you are leaving and seeing others leave makes you perceive it killed the server as a map doesn't mean the server wouldn't fill back up the slots by the time maps over it was usually all the way back to 32 players. It didn't have nearly as big of a stigma at all compared to some of the harder parkour maps, and no one was asking for its removal like a lot of the parkour synthwave maps of yesteryears, what's next we remove every one of your css ports because they usually make the server count drop 10+ players?
