oh and another rason why i shut down is so my 1000w power supply isnt always running (yes i know it doesn't always pull that down, but meant for a max power rating)
i have a 1000w PSU as well but always leave it on. I just put my power management to turn everything it can off around an hour of idle. Our electric bill only jumped about $10 a month(I personally blame it on the new air conditioner)
