If steam adds the ability to take money out of your steam account, paypal trading will have be obselite.
They didn't add the feature before you were able to sell stuff, so why would they do that now?
SteamWallet is essentially same as store credit which stores love. You give them $20 and they give you "$20" that costs them nothing until you actually use it.
Moot point to anyone who actually follows PayPal's rules.I don't think this will kill Paypal trading since there's a 15% or more fee and you can't withdraw.
PayPal won't cover you at all since you're trading digital goods which is against their ToS. If you're selling items and accepting payments as Gift to avoid their fees is also against their ToS. PayPal has a 2.9% + .30 fee which is .35 on $2.00 as opposed to 15% of $2.00 which is .30 cents. I should probably remind everyone that asking the buyer to cover the fees is also against PayPal ToS.
I hope they don't add weapons/hats and the rest to the market or else that'll completely kill the economy. For the most part the economy is run by a price list, you will see varying prices between TF2Outpost, TF2Bazaar and trade servers due to the supply and demand at each of these locations. Now that Steam is offering their own trading hub, with real money and the guarantee that you won't scammed, I can see lots of traders dumping their supply on there and ultimately killing the market for everything as there won't be enough demand to clear it out. Considering the buyer pays the fee and you'll always receive your money, why wouldn't you list there?
So yeah, I hope they leave it as it is or else we'll be seeing some big changes in the economy. Either that or someone with a lot of money will just keep buying everything out themselves and have even more control than they already have over the market.
