New Disable the frying pan hitsound on the trade servers

The very loud sound of the frying pan is a very easy way to annoy people on the trade server. It is especially a nuisance when players are attempting to discuss a trade... or anything else. It can be much worse than micspam. I have seen multiple players smack someone with the pan for extended periods of time, even hours, ignoring requests to stop.
The pan sound was disabled at one point, I think it would be great if it was disabled again.

turning volume down does not help when you are trying to communicate through voice chat
the only option is to get a script. it was disabled before, it should be disabled again, there is no need for the sound on the trade server

Or just get a mod that silences it. I'd imagine there's at least two you could probably use.
 
lowering game volume lowers voice chat volume as well
making people who cant be bothered to run a script leave the trade server because it is obnoxious to hear a constant clanging which drowns out other sound while trying to communicate via voice chat is a not a good idea
 
have you spent any time on the trade server? people who are talking get targeted by le epic trolls and they follow them around the spawn and safe room endlessly attempting to disrupt conversation. it has the same effect as ear rape micspam
it is impossible to get away from the noise

Trade is my home mate. I've got a countable amount of time on maybe Teufort and Surf. Like under an hour each. All the rest is Trade

Just move from it lmfao it's not hard

Maybe don't make yourself a target. The way you talk makes it sound like you bring it onto yourself half the time.

You are aware you can adjust the volume of pans AND the volume of voices without scripts, right?

the people i see targeted are merely talking about trades or tf2 items most of the time

lowering the game volume lowers voice chat volume
 
the only real solution is to get a script, the other stuff you said is nonsense
it is an issue with the same effect as earrape micspam
 
the only way to lower the volume of another players hitsounds without a mod or editing the sound file is to lower the game volume. this lowers the volume of voice chat which defeats the purpose of trying to communicate through voice chat
 
you can change the voice volume separately from the game volume but the only way to lower another players weapon sounds without a mod is to lower the game volume... which lowers the voice volume

Master volume lowers everything
I know this because I adjust them myself, and hear perfectly fine with a low game volume and high voice volume

This really does seem to be a you problem cos it really doesn't affect me receiving voice chat messages at all despite a lowered game volume.
