The very loud sound of the frying pan is a very easy way to annoy people on the trade server. It is especially a nuisance when players are attempting to discuss a trade... or anything else. It can be much worse than micspam. I have seen multiple players smack someone with the pan for extended periods of time, even hours, ignoring requests to stop.
The pan sound was disabled at one point, I think it would be great if it was disabled again.

It is a valid complaint and a reasonable suggestion. It's the same argument against people who spam on mic. Yes you could mute them clientside but considering how many hundreds of people could be passing through a server who *won't* do that and are suffering through an obviously unintentional and annoying mix of game aspects, it's potentially harmful for the user experience. Being able to solve the problem clientside does not invalidate the genuine concern around the issue impacting everyone.

why is it only gonna be on trade servers? that would kinda be useless -1

because on trade servers people often try to trade and discuss/advertise tf2 items over voice chat while sitting in the safe area/spawn
le epic trolls often will attempt to disrupt someone who is speaking by smashing them with the pan making the very loud noise having a similar effect to earrape micspam for the guy being hit and those around him
this is not an issue on objective servers where people are not allowed to sit in spawn, not participating in the fight
