I'm sure this was suggested by someone else yet, but searching on "random crits" in this forum didn't have any results.
Random crits are the by far most annoying source of getting killed although you played well. You think "I can take one rocket" or "I won't die for 1 second of heavy's minigun fire". And then they crit. And you're either dead or unable to continue your plan.
On the other side, nearly nobody wants to only kill another player through random crits. They want to deserve their kills, as most people strive to improve their skills.
So it wouldn't probably prevent anyone from playing on skial, AND there are players who would prefer playing on skial for random crits turned off. AND an additional benefit would be that the most happening kind of cheating, crit cheating, would be impossible, so nobody would have to worry about someone with lots of random crits and if he is cheating (something you start with if you get killed by random crits again and again...).
Only drawback would be the balance of random critting weapons vs. not critting weapons. And perhaps the shitty quick game option? I don't know.
