About a week ago, some of you noticed I took on a new little job title here on the forum/community. I've gotten a handful of questions, which I will address here.
Q: What is a community manager?
A: Someone who manages the community.
Q: What does the Skial Community Manager do?
A: The CM is in charge of problem solving with members. I don't handle any of the actual programming of the TF2 servers. Minecraft and Terraria, on the other hand, are still technically my babies.
Q: So what do you do exactly?
A: This is the easy part. Let's say someone theoretically kicks you off of the bus and makes you cuss. Instead of running to Bottiger and demanding a ban, you come to me instead and I'll deal with it. Bottiger is much too busy dealing with programming and supporting server issues that he simply cannot handle the additional problems by users. That's why I'm here for now.
Q: Well, what if I have a problem with an admin?
A: I have the ability to remove admins. Drastic, but I believe in fair chances. I won't negotiate with terrorists, though. Neither should you.
Q: THIS PERSON LEFT ME BAD FEEDBACK HE'S A SCAMMER AN--
A: Calm down, Jose. Send me a PM with details and we will discuss it. I will investigate and deal with it appropriately.
Q: HEY ASSHOLES THERE'S A HACKER HERE AN--
A: There's still other admins here. If you try to get an admin to help and they refuse, you can come to me then. I know there's PLENTY of admins to help you. I just posted about the four we added. We still have a "BANS" section on the forum. Use it.
Q: Can you make me an admin?
A: No. Stop asking. Go make an application like everyone else. Follow the template.
