This is not a suggestion on how to change the forums, but a suggestion on how to change us.

We have multiple EU servers and some non-English speakers that use our NA servers. These people are our clients, our customers so-to-speak.

They take the trouble to come to this forum for help with problems. They are forced to communicate in OUR language. A lot of the time they can cobble together words well enough to understand the gist of what they are trying to say. How many of us could do that? I know that I couldn't without some major Google translate help. And even then, that might cause some of translation problems we see with non-English speakers.

Yes, there are annoying kids that can't bother to type with any semblance of grammar. So yes, continue to pick on Jonathon. :troll:

But when people come in with reports and things, I think we should assume they don't speak English first.

No problem, if I might make a suggestion I would recommend Stephen King's Skeleton Crew, it's a collection of short stories and I personally feel that it contains some of his best work (including The Mist before he added the shitty ending to it.)

I think

Wait, if you're American, shouldn't you have some sense of grammar?

Yeah, you should know your granny.

there the reason.I don't read but i'm trying the best i can to learn
Suck it chuckwagon there's nothing you can do about it

then go back to first grade. maybe that'll help with your reading

I ridicule people who SHOULD know how to speak mostly proper english. There's obvious things I ignore like ending sentences with prepositions and sentence fragments, etc, but people that are native English speakers need to get on the ball. I'm not joking. Bad grammar in your native language is something you should be concerned about if you're past the age of like 10.

Edit:Special exceptions go out to the dyslexic.

My belief is that if you're a native of a certain country, then you should be able to speak it's language fluently and be able to at least understand the language of a country you're residing in if it's not your home country, like how most Latin-Americans in the U.S. can speak fluent Spanish but have learned English as well, as example. If people can't speak fluent English because they're on a EU hosted server and they're in their homeland, don't bother them about it. They can choose to learn English if they want to.

All that matters is that you can communicate what your trying to say to the other person. grammar nazis do my head in, you can pick holes in anyones english if you look hard enough
example:
I ridicule people who SHOULD know how to speak mostly proper english. (should be standard English (capital E)) There's (should be There are) obvious things (that) I ignore (missed comma) like ending sentences with prepositions and sentence fragments, etc, (should be . not ,) but (new sentence 'but' needs removing) people that are native English speakers need to get on the ball. I'm not joking. Bad grammar in your native language is something (that) you should be concerned about if you're past the age of like 10.

Not many people actualy use standard English, as it becomes long-winded and pragmatic, and the internet has made us lazy in its implimentation. To be honest, there seems to be a shift in English, because of internet slang and the whole speed with which people need to convey their opinions and ideas.

Always trust the British when it comes to English.

Nearly every time I see Skial brought up on other websites the opinion that repeatedly comes up is "their servers are great but stay away from the forums". Only so many times can that be written off as "they're probably sore about a votemute" before it needs to be addressed as a problem.
You know it's a good forum when people tell others to say away from it. Is it bad publicity? True. But the majority of people's perspective on a "forum you can hang on" involves heavy moderation with members being super nice to each other with no conflict whatsoever. What decent person would like to be on a forum like that? I like being helpful, but I also feel I want to have the freedom to be a dick sometimes (you might've noticed). I'm not gonna deny Skial has it's problems, I do agree that the support section do need heavier moderation, but I don't think that heavier moderation on rest of Skial is needed because it's a much more humane atmosphere here than most other forums.

Or maybe they judge the entire forum on our support section which is just stupid.

True enough, I do feel like this place is a little more tight knit in it's members through the bouts of drama that bond and mould us ever so sweetly.

Pretty sure the problems people have with the forums is linked to a lack of common courtesy on the part of frequent posters.

Well, that is one thing, and almost ironic in a way, that someone with no manners lectures someone with low english skills.
