This may not be relevant to most here, but forum mods/admin will understand. Basically, when a thread is deleted it disappears from the forum and subforum it was posted in. but it is still visible to mods.
There have been occasions when the forum becomes littered with deleted threads sometimes to the point where mods see more than 50% of the forum page with just deleted crap.
Can we have a section/sub forum where we can move relevant posts this will keep the forums clutter free.
I was thinking a subsection under archived which cannot be replied to, this would retain any delete posts but keep the main forums clean.

Example of deleted posts leaving a mess.

Not in favour of the ability to completely remove posts.
Definitely either a seperate section to move threads into, or a "hide" button to make it a lot smaller?

why not both?

the hide function would be useful for recently-deleted threads, where the archive subsection would be for posts that have been deleted for a few months.

semi-related question: how much space on the forum server does the Reports section take? because I'm pretty sure 18,000 of the threads there could be trimmed/archived
