We don't know how many credits people had before. There's just way too many credits given out every minute that we can't log everything. Unfortunately I have decided we should not just give back however many credits people say they lost because people could make up any number.
The system has only been up for a little over a week so it shouldn't be a big loss. The only alternative was to do nothing or wipe everyone's credits.
As mentioned in the welcome menu, the system is in BETA. In the FAQ it says to expect credits and items to be lost or reset. This still might be the case even though we'll try to avoid it.
