Did you run the installer?

run the installer, don't change the default path (default path has it ending up in the steamapps folder, I think, or somewhere around there)

restart steam

double click Black Mesa as it appears upon Steam within your library of games

naw i was confused. i unzipped the file to get another zipped file. and i unzipped that to get another zipper. so i deleted it and downloaded it from another source and than found the installer lol

If you have the .torrent file you need to DOWNLOAD THE GAME BY DOUBLE CLICKING THE .TORRENT FILE
If you have the .zip, just un-zip it and use the .exe :facepalm:

...well, anyway, if you got the torrent file, you have to use a client like bittorrent to open the file, which downloads the game installer
