I got messaged by my friend Jmap ( A close friend of mine) asking that he could borrow my unusual to show to someone for a couple of minutes. So I trade him the unusual and he immediately goes offline. So I get a bit suspicious and see that he's online. So I ask him if he traded me an unusual and he says no. So I go to my inventory history and see that the person I traded with wasn't my friend but the second account of the scammer
ϗ̢͇᷃͜͠҈͡Zilo [UTA]
. With the help of a friend I later find out that he immediately traded the unusual to the 1st account. This link shows the item has moved from my account.

So wait, you added a random guy even though you already had this friend on your friend's list? How could you not tell? Also, did this happen our servers? If not, please report on the SR forums.

Where are the screen shots? And why would you let some one borrow your unusual? Always always take collateral

Not necessary, you can send a trade to anyone and use the in trade chat too. It's a well known scam that people impersonate your friend and "borrow" items (usually a couple of keys which sounds plausible) using the trade chat. You can't tell if the player is on your friend list or not since unlike in the old ingame trade where you could click on his avatar you aren't able to load his profile here.

You can evade this by using advanced options in tf2: http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/939257134462166594/B33D3173825F4BAA190B55E008131163F62EB79A/

take a screenshot of trade history, but even then that may not be enough with out the trade chat.

  1. None of the three accounts mentioned in OP have ever connected to our servers.
  2. OP's account has no posts elsewhere on the forum; this report is his only post
  3. The reported account has already been tagged on SteamRep for two confirmed instances of scamming: 1 | 2
Since this doesn't appear to have anything to do with Skial, we will not be putting any tags on this user. However, I encourage you to submit another report on the guy on SteamRep. They will add additional notes to his SR profile.
