Why should you be unbanned or unblocked?:
So I am an active member of the dustbowl eu3 community and have been for a year and a bit now, during this time I have come to make many e-friends. While being inebriated on Saturday 22nd February I put in a joke report against someone and as a joke people decided to pass it, this has since led to me being permanently muted. Looking back and with hindsight (isn’t hindsight wonderful) this was clearly a silly and immature thing to do. However I feel the permanent mute is not justified, I think this because I was muted and banned earlier this week on the 17th of February for once again abusing the votemenu, however this ban was for 3 days and the mute for a day. Being aware of previous mutes I thought this mute should have been for a month. As it was only for 3 days I naively presumed as some of the previous mutes were for longer than 6 months they had been wiped clean, this was evidently not the case. I therefore feel the length of my mute should be shortened as I was unaware I was one more mute of being permanently muted. I will give you analogy of my thinking, a drivers licence in the UK allows 12 points on it before you are banned from driving these points can be accumulated in a number of ways but the most common is a speeding penalty which incurs 3 points however 3 years after the offence the points are wiped. This relates to my mute in that I felt I was on 6 or 3 points meaning I could speed once more without having my licence taken (muted permanently) however I was on 9 points meaning one more rule break would mean permanent mute. Anyway hopefully I got my point and reason across for not being permanently muted, I would like to apologise to the admins for wasting their time. If you decide that I shall remain permanently muted would it be possible to make it so I’m muted from chat but still able to use my microphone so I’m still able to be part of the community as all my offences have been to do with votemenu abuse rather than microphone offences e.g racism.

Anyway thanks for reading

Many apologies, noonecanbanthejoshchap (how ironic)

I think that Josh should be muted however i think that it should only be a month mute. He was silly to do this and he had no idea this was his last chance. Hes a good guy just sometimes gets very silly and this leads to him being banned. skial plese let him have one more chance and im sure he will keep his gob shut. If not he has me to deal with. He is a long time member of skial Eu3 it will be very sad to see him go :'( Or not to hear his beautiful Voice

Give the guy a chance. i know the rules follow at - 1day - 3 day - week - month - life . Ive looked at his ban log as seen above and i do not see a month mute i think that this should be a month to give him time to think how stupied he has been

Thanks
Duck

Josh should get unmuted or at least the ban shortened as he is a nice guy, but sometimes he does something like this and doesn't realize the consequences of sending in a fake report. Of course I do realize that he has a lot of bans but these were not all for silence and so the mute was handed out kind of unfairly as Ducky said in the past post there are a lot of people with more bans than joshcap here.

Does this mean anything to you?

Because the ban I gave you for mute dodging makes it more than 5 offences, which is more than enough.

i thought bans are separate to mutes
They are.

However, you've got 5 offenses on your mute, which makes it permanent. Usually the punishment goes 1d > 3d > 1w > 1m > Perma, but if one punishment is shorter (i.e my 1 day), it still counts as the month.

Now, I would debate your mute with you but I wasn't the admin who gave you the permanent, so there's not much I can do with resolving this, unless I got permission from the admin to un-silence you.

Please give Josh one more chance and change the ban to a month. He has been a great, funny and loyal member of the Skial community for a long time. I strongly believe he should be given just ONE MORE chance, he's a wonderful chap and the influence of alcohol made him act unreasonably. I am aware he has acted unreasonably in the past, but he is really a huge part of the EU3 community. Would you like to be banned from Skial permanently? So again PLEASE save a valued member of the community!

I believe the mute should be reduced to 1 month. He's a nice fellow that comes regularly on EU3 but stuff like the fake report happens only when he is pretty much drunk. I'd say give him another chance and i'm sure he will correct himself.

Sorry but no. After three silences for abusing the votemenu you think you would of learned. But you didn't, the only reason you say you learned now is because you will never be able to abuse the votemenu or report again.

And "i thought it was going to be a month not permanent" is the worst appeal excuse I have ever heard.

Appeal denied.

I think we can all agree that Josh isn't an angel, but he would never do anything to harm the community. The thing that happened yesterday was another act of playful stupidity. This should be punished, but not in the way it has been done right now. The difference between severenes of Josh's punishments are far too large in my opinion, and it seems Josh wasn't even aware that he was on a thin thread. I'm not saying it's an excuse for his behaviour, but I do believe it's wrong to drop a perma-mute bomb on Josh without him having any knowledge on his current situation.

Josh deserves a slap in the face, and a good wake-up call. A mute is in order, but the severeness of the mute he was given is not understandable. I'm not going to make a big deal out of it if the mute stays. But I will voice my opinion, because I believe it's not a proper punishment.

You have no idea what are are talking about Raziel. If he isn't harming the community, what do you call this

The decision is final and will not be changed. He has 5 other chances to change his behaviour and he refused to do so.

It is not our fault he didn't read our rules or our ban lengths which are displayed publicly on the forum.

I would like to point out that the "noonecanbanthejoshchap" has used a site called tf2r in order to gain support for what is supposedly an un ban, Please go onto the tf2r website, click on public raffles, and scroll down to this mans name for further information.

I don't care if you got everyone on TF2r to support you, you are not getting unsilenced.

However, I entered both your raffles. I would laugh if I win.
