Okay so Zebra silenced me from using the General channel on the Skial Discord. I was told by @Bottiger to make an appeal here for it.

It's been brought up several times that there needs to be written rules for the Discord, yet each time it's brought up, it's noted that there is no reason to as there are no rules there other than no child porn or anything else that's illegal. So why am I silenced for jokingly telling a user that he's probably banned when he was asking why he can't connect? No warning or anything. Only thing reminiscent of a warning was Zebra telling Ed that if he's going to be racist in general, he won't be punished but it'll just be deleted. No mention of a silence. And I wasn't even being racist. Meanwhile people spam memes and gifs, spam the words "cancer" "autism" and "nigger" around in general, straight up tell new users to "fuck off" and shitpost in there in general and they don't get their privileges taken away. There's a clear need of rules if situations like this are apparently going to start happening​

It is absolutely ridiculous that the admins who spent so long claiming that there are no rules on Discord now just go ahead and ban @CourtneyFromWendys

If you want the ability to punish people, put rules in - but under no circumstances should we even be thinking about enforcing rules that do not yet exist.

It was stupid not to implement rules before, yet now the same people that took the stance of "There are no rules until Bottiger says there are" have now proceeded ahead due to their own personal desires, absolutely hypocritical.

This is the very reason that I openly advocated for the renaming of the "unmod" channel, this punishment should be removed and, in my view, an apology is in order.

You were silenced from General because on multiple occasions someone new has asked for help and you were giving false information and being extremely unhelpful.

Multiple admins agreed, and no one expressed that they disagreed.

This isn't permanent and will be removed if you can actually behave.

A warning would have been nice, just like your warning about racism, instead of just waking up one day and discovering I'm just silenced with no explanation
 
We aren't required to give out warning. As I said, multiple admins sought that based on your previous behavior and reputation, blocking you from General was appropriate.

If you want to make a suggestion to put rules in discord than go ahead. But we are not going to allow you to be cancerous and give false information towards new members asking for help.
