Okay, so I was playing on NY Skial Dustbowl as I always do, been playing there for over a year now and have never been muted or banned for any reason whatsoever.
I also do not ever use a mic but tend to type messages. Recently I have been involved in online bickering of a non serious nature with another player, he harasses me, I harass him, but nothing more than that. I apparently got under his skin to about a bind when he would die that I posted, even though he was mic trash talking me the entire time, and he filled out a ban report and within five minutes I was gagged and muted for 1440 mins without any warning whatsoever. Then without my knowledge that this would happen, I changed my name to my bind and was banned within ten seconds of that, again with no warning whatsoever for "dodging." I had no knowledge that change your steam name would bypass a mute or gag, and was never warned or anything. I checked the ban list on skial.com, and was banned by an admin that just so happens to be on the friends list of the person I was bickering with. Also it was posted as a 1 day ban, then went up to a 3 day ban for no apparent reason either. I asked for clarification from the Admin in question "DaivdBaekr" and he simply said "using 4 binds in 5 seconds is chat spamming," even though if it would have been me typing that to anyone else other than his friend I'm sure noone would have made any big deal about it. So now I have a 3 day ban because without my knowledge I "dodged" a mute gag that was placed on me under whatever circumstances. Not everyone that types alot of messages gets gagged or muted on that server this I know from experience.
As I said, its my normal place to play, I've never had any run ins with admins or bans, mutes, or anything of the sort, so its disappointing to me that it would seem this admin would see it necessary to mute and ban without any warning over something so trivial.
