My ban (which I really don't know why I got) has apparently expired, and yet I'm still banned...​

I think what he/she/it meant was the time being displayed on the "expires on"-bar:

Expires on 07-06-15 12:31

For me actually it is 07-06-15 18:13 right now (6:13pm) so that ban should have expired... however the time displays the local server time, not the local users time. Therefore it still lasts about 1 hour from now until you are unbanned (don't hold me responsible for the estimated time).
What matters is, you are currently still in the 1 day ban period. I hope this resolved your issue and question.

Pacific. So it will expire about 3 hours from now.

If you're in the UK then it should be something like your local time minus eight hours.
