Okay so I've been figuring out how to make custom bosses, here's what I've got so far.

To fix the whole invisible viewmodel issue with Saxton and Duke, just change their class to heavy (6) with weapon classname tf_weapon_fists, index 5, OR keep their soldier class (3), and change weapon classname to tf_weapon_shovel with index 6

As to updating Saxton and Vagineer's cfg to use the new models from VSH v1.55, here they are:

If anyone could make bosses it would be appreciated, the server doesn't have a huge choice of bosses and it would be a shame for the server to die so early when it has been requested so much.

I'd say we should just get a few good models from Garry's Mod like a few other bosses have done. And just port them over to TF2.

Is there any hope in saving the server? It get's traffic at certain times, but I find people leave quickly whereas some will stay until a map change. Could this be down to lack of bosses?

As for bosses I think we should have a few joke bosses, even if they have similar abilities the boss it's self can make a difference. Such as that Bob The Builder boss. Yes it may be a vagineer reskin but it gives some laughs which makes it different.

Did you find out anything about the wheatley rage? Because that would atleast make it a little more different and make more sense.

I play on that server basically every day, and yeah a lot of the people playing seem to be connecting from the West or at least somewhere in Central USA.

Certain maps are also pretty lame which cause a big decrease in player count. Basically any of the wide open ones where it takes forever for anything to happen = a loss of players if it isn't during high traffic parts of the day (12-3 PST or 6-8 from what I've seen).

I don't think it boils down to a lack of bosses, there's a pretty decent selection even though most everyone chooses the same couple of bosses (Vader, Gaben, Bill and Hatsune). Maybe limit the maps to ones that are more compact and finish faster? Those are generally more fun and less prolonged.

I will agree some maps built for VSH don't always work well with FF2 due to the style of FF2 Bosses.

I recommend medium sized maps, not too large, not too complex, but fun enough for all to enjoy. One i can recommend is vsh_top_arena
