Servers:
BADWATER | LA, DUSTBOWL+ | LA, GOLDRUSH | LA | Fast, PAYLOAD+ | US | Fast
Time:
Anywhere from 1 PM PST to 3 AM PST
Link to your Stats Page:
Playing Time:
In the 5 year's I've been playing off and on I have probably about ~400--500 hours on Skial or more
Will you get mad if you lose admin?:
Nope
How do you ban yourself using your own SteamID?:
sm_ban "#[U:1:44444126]" 30 "Obvious Aimbot"
Any other reason you should be admin:
In the time I play I see almost no admin while griefers and mic spammers continue what they do best. It's been the most annoying anytime after 12 AM PST. Most of the people on the server, including myself, just want to casually play without those kind of nuisances. Muting them would be a simple solution but doesn't often work as they leave and come back after a vote has been successful.

I've been an admin in many online communities. I was a manager for XXL for 6 years while the community still had 40 some servers, 15 of them being on TF2. When I was a manager there I typically monitored the servers, managed some the thousands of bans, and looked after the admins. This was when I was still a child and I've since grown up more. (Have a wife, go to college for computer programming, etc)

I play dustbowl and badwater the most often, but I go into 2fort, payload, and goldrush during the night. Typically I'm active on the microphone and provide the typical TF2 banter.

I'm concerned about your profile's privacy. There's much to be desired with the forthcoming of information as well as verification of your alleged experience.
There's also this: https://www.skial.com/sourcebans/index.php?p=banlist&searchText=[U:1:44444126]&Submit=

I tried to find out if there were any rules about posting in your application, but I couldn't really find anything. Someone delete this if I'm not suppose to.

I had my profile on private from a long time ago when I was receiving hundreds of friend requests and messages a week. I put all my setting on public.

As with verification of my experience, the forums are long gone. The only thing I can really give you is that I'm still an administrator on their Steam page with 25k members. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/xxlgamersdotnet

The ban was from a long, long time ago. I believe 4 years ago. I think it had something to do with getting into the other teams spawn in badwater. Since then I haven't done anything like it.

I am not at the office right now so I can't look deeply into your application but a couple things stick out to me right away away.

I see you have just joined the skial forms today and wondering if you had time to navigate through the website to see your actual time played on the servers, server rules, and the area to report player problems.

Can you please clarify in your own mind what you mean by Mic spammers.

I had made an account here quite a while ago with an email that I threw away due to the excessive amount of spam emails it received. I don't know the username or password of said account. So I don't have any means of recovering it. I believe it was 4 years old.

I have tried to find my hours played on skial and couldn't find it. I may be overlooking something. I did guess correctly though according to 185db. Also, I have read the rules and explored the forum subs multiple times before and today before I posted my application.

To answer your last question in my own words a mic spammer is one of those people who constantly play annoying music or uses that squeaky voice modifier with the intention of disrupting the server.

There's other kinds of people excessively breaking the rules on the servers all the time besides those two stereotypes I talked about. There's also a lot of racism.

Shit, I said I might be overlooking something. I'm use to the GameMe stats that everyone had before. I don't know how long I stared and couldn't find it. The same thing happens when I code, even though this isn't thousands of lines.

+0 for now.

If you can't find information like time, that really says something.
Start making reports - this would show you understand the rules.

Yet you fail to report such players. Not even a single report was posted by you over the span of 5 years you been playing on this server. -1 for now.

You're not necessarily a bad person but accepting you or looking into your application right now would be a bit hasty and impulsive on our end. Take your time to get to know the regulars (both from server and forums) and making reports. For now, I'll be marking this improve.

I was a manager, not a paying administrator. I handled setting up or deleting the paying administrators in either amxbans or sourcebans when the owner forwarded me the paypal emails. Also, I had complete access to our 5 dedicated boxes so I could look up the logs in the case that I needed to deal with abusive admins or griefers. We also had a dedicated email that players sent demos and I reviewed each one that was in TF2. I also moderated their forums.

The community was number 4 on gametracker in its prime and held many top server spots in many different source games until everyone started DDoSing our servers causing the box providers to switch our ips because it was affecting their other clients. It was our fault though because we shared a high end box with Lotus Clan that held many of our top TF2 servers.

This is the only website that is still up. It's amxbans, which was for Half Life 1 engine games just like Sourcebans is for Half Life 2 engine games. This should prove it I was a manager though as I have complete access. https://s24.postimg.org/r8xo8i36d/screenshootamx.jpg

Also, I found a screen shoot in waybackmachine from when I was online on the forums. If you look at the forum legend, orange is XXL Management. My name was ConVict | Zeo. https://s23.postimg.org/5pzdvsijv/forumslegend.jpg

Concerning other servers I was an admin in. Off of the top of my head the only other big one I can think of was TPS, which I was a head administrator for their Garry's Mod TTT server. When I was younger there were hundreds of servers I was an admin in over the years. I don't have the capacity to remember every single one.

Replying to the other comments though. I could produce a demo for every single person that comes in the server and starts shit, but the damage is already done because it takes time for someone to review it. Players who could potentially be regulars leave and find other servers. The likelihood that the griefers ever come back is very small. Even if they do come back and a demo gets them banned temporally, they will just wait it out or open another account. I know after multiple offenses they are banned permanently, but TF2 is a free game and creating another account with a different IP is so easy. I've seen it happen so many times.

It's amazing the Skial servers are so popular and have such a lack of admin presence in the times I play. I'm not trying to sound rude or anything, but I would appreciate if one of the admins that replied to this thread actually came into one of the servers that I played in more often.

Also, yes, I did skip over my total time played. It happens to everybody and I am not a perfect person by any means. Although, ya'll break your own rules. You're not suppose to comment on the applications answers according to the pinned thread in this sub and the time is an application answer.

I've been telling Bottiger for years now that all he has to do for 24/7 admin coverage is convince 23 unpaid volunteers to sit and wait for someone to break a rule for 60 hours a day. He's just too stubborn to give it a shot.

Conservative government works for the people. In my opinion, it's a big reason why we're so popular.
I do come on those servers occasionally, but you should know, being that you're applying, that an Admin's only actual job is to handle Reports. Playing is completely optional but knowing the Rules and procedures is not.

You should, since Reports by players are crucial to servers' being administrated to players' liking.
