Improve Admin App: Ryokyon!

I understand the concern, and that it could be a serious problem. But at the same time, I managed to learn from my mistakes, even if it took me four tries. I'm sorry I managed to screw up on the question but it's been amended now.
 
I probably should have mentioned in my additional info that I donate on a quarterly basis as well. Been doing so for some time.

I'm kinda worried about how much you can actually provide as an admin and if you will do more harm than good.

With the demonstration above that it took you four tries before succesfully typing the right command (that can be found on a page that I hope you have read), will that just be a single mistake by you or a repeating pattern? Will you be able to actually assign the correct command for the correct person if you become an admin if this single command had to be helped by several people?

While I do agree with all of the comments being made about his ability to learn, we must take note that this is taken from Bots post on how admins are picked.
"Smart enough to learn how to use the ban command."

Obviously there is a line between ability and inability and that line isn't for us regulars to draw. Therefor the question is which side of that line is he on?

Learning is one thing, but when it takes too many tries to learn the ban command, there are more applicants out there that automatically seem more qualified if they got it on the first or second try.
 
Just cause it took him a few tries for the ban question doesn't mean he would be a bad admin. He stayed level headed, didn't get frustrated and asked for help when he needed it
I think he would be a great admin, especially for a server that needs one. +1 from me

Anybody who doesn't place an emphasis on character and integrity on a job that is 95% dealing with people and 5% technical work clearly doesn't have their priorities in order. God forbid they ever land a job in HR or customer service.

"Badmins" don't come from people who don't know how to use commands, they come from people who fail to handle the followup properly. People with flimsy character who don't understand the expectations or their responsibilities. Worst case scenario if Ryokyon is added to the admin roster is he asks for instructions for a week or two before becoming fluent with our plugins. And if anybody is not alright with helping another staff member out, I don't think they should be on the team themselves. Of the seven decisive criteria Bott listed, how many of them are technical? One.

You can teach someone commands. You can't teach them to not be an asshole.

Outside of playing devil's advocate for the ban question though, I did have a question/comment.

Please explain to me some examples of the griefing on Death Run that you feel should be addressed by an admin.
 
I'm not sure whether it's worth having one specific admin just doing full time on the Deathrun server, we don't often get reports from there, so I'm somewhat concerned that you would use admin powers to benefit yourself.
Then again, 6 days of connection time is acceptable (but not amazing), and seem friendly judging from your chatlog so far.
+0 from me for now, will probably depend on your answer to hXc's question.
Also, this won't affect your application in any way and feel free not to answer it, but how old are you?
 
@hXc: There are certain traps that players must cross to advance, but some people abuse these traps by jumping on them causing the advancing players to die, and time and time again they get away with it, and to be honest it isn't fair on others. I'd like to able to prevent this, as much as possible.

If this is a concern to you, why not report it?
 
Although it could be easier to report them, it would also be helpful to warn them to not grief as well.

He didn't learn how to do it. He was told how to. Even after three tries with help from admins on how to do it, he still could not learn how to do it. It literally had to be spelt out for him.
 
Because who do you think they would rather listen to? A "random" person who is totally getting trolled, or an admin. I think it's pretty obvious.

That's true if the player are there solely to disobey the rules and be an asshole, but there's a lot of people that just doesn't understand/know the rules in the first place and a simple warning by just a user is in a lot of cases enough to make them stop doing it.

But even if you don't see yourself making a change by telling them to stop, it will still show your dedication for the server and its community because you are actively trying to create a fun environment for the rest of the players to be in. That's a huge positive reason to make you an admin; because you care.

But I have to ask, now when you want to become an admin to prevent these situations.
Why haven't you written reports/talked with admins so they could fix it when you saw yourself not able to do enough?
