Hello again everyone!! I'm back after about a 1 month break and I am looking to fulfill an admin position. You probably know me as TangyZ, and you can go ahead and call me that if you wish. Since my previous application was set to "improve" I have made a new one. For those wondering, here is my previous application and I got to the "considering" tag before I was set to improve

About me:

I am a very active member on the skial servers, and love them very much. I enjoy the mix of competitiveness and new people that come on these servers, and it is the community that keeps bringing me back. Skial has a great thing going here, and I would like to help make it even greater. Those people who decide to be friendly, racist, or spam, ruin the game and enjoyment for everyone else. I believe that I could be a very good enforcer of the rules, and be a big force in stopping these players. I referee soccer games (football for Europeans) for people under the age of 18, and I get paid to do it so it is somewhat of a job and is taken seriously. I treat this application the same way that I would treat a real job application, and I hope you can respect that, and treat me the same way. I really enjoy helping people, and am always polite, and rarely swear. I am a very cool headed person, and the times I get angry are rare, and next to none when playing a video game.

How I have improved:

I now fully understand ban/silence times, and know to check sourcebans before executing a command, in order to get the proper punishment length. I have learned the basics of the rules for the other types of gamemodes, but I will admit I am no master. No more silly mistakes, and misreads, as that is what hurt me last time.

Now that I have put that all out there, I sincerely wish that you can find me a worthy candidate, and if you have any questions, go ahead and put it right down there, or start a conversation with me.

Gonna take this to reviewing and make it straight to the point.

You are called in a server in steam chat. Someone is apparently Wall hacking.
2 cases:
  1. You join the server, see a vote already going on to ban the accused player [1:234]. It passes. What do you do/type?
  2. You join the server to deal with the offender (turns out to be me). I was indeed hacking. What do you do/type?

This got into reviewing fast.

1)
There is not much that I can do because there is no proof. If the player cares enough about it, or is not cheating, I'm sure that they would make an appeal and remove their 30 minute ban. The best option would be if player [1:234] is accused again, I would be sure to have someone get a demo, or do it myself if available, and then submit it to forums, and await the decision from there.

Votemenu abuse?
Judging by how the vote passed, then multiple people must think that player [1:234] was cheating. I do not believe a player should be punished for calling a vote when multiple people strongly believed enough to think the player was cheating, but I would ask of everyone that they try to leave hacking incidents to the admins.

2) Blatant walls or not, a demo is needed. You stated in your question that there is no question that you are hacking, so I can ban you immediately. I would proceed to record the demo in order to collect sufficient evidence, ban you, sm_ban "#[U:1:152151756]" 0 "obvious wallhack", and submit the demo to these forums. If somehow you turn out not to be cheating, then you can appeal and go from there.

I must say, the questions have gotten harder from last time around, and the first one took me a great deal of thought

Edit: It's very hard to interpret what you're saying. Being so specific, then not following up with the same degree of "specificness" makes your response very hard to elucidate.

I am not sure what you mean by this, but I do not have access to check previous bans because I cannot create an account. All I see is a login button, no create account

The question has so many possible outcomes, it is hard for me to keep it organized. I spent 25 minutes on this and this was the best way I could see to answer it

You do not need to login to see how many previous bans/silences a certain account has. However, that's not what I'm getting at. You say that you have improved a certain way, yet this improvement is not shown in your response.

I have answered the question to the best of my ability. I hate to see me lose a shot at being an admin just because of a lack of understanding between us. I feel like I have much more to offer to skial, and a misunderstanding on one question should not hinder that. Go ahead and give me another question, and I can hopefully prove my worth. I really enjoy reviewing the questions, going over all the aspects of it and answering these questions, but if it is not sufficient, then so be it. It seems easy enough to understand to me but what can I say. I am open to all suggestions

So far, TangyZ has proved to be an excellent admin candidate from what i've seen. He is always fair and only reports those who are breaking any server rules

First question implied you not having any sort of evidence.
Beside your answers being quite confusing, the "no evidence" section as you call it has an incorrect step that you should not execute.
 
I know from chatting with him last week already, that he wasn't sure to put up a new app this soon. I know he is eager, and I believe that he wants this, due to this 2nd application, but there's just this missing spark that strikes us stunned I think.
So actually my point being, if Tangyz hasn't failed yet in the eyes of the admins, I'd personally like to see him answer another 1 or 2 questions if that is okay. I'd love to see more of his replies before making a judgement that could be too fast. If those are going to be insufficient, that's settled then anyways.

If you see no point in that, it shall be, consider this a suggestion only please. Thank you.

Because so far, I can not really tell for myself with just that 1 reply, if there is an improvement or if he just stayed same level since the last time.

I feel that I need to explain something. I was caught very off guard by the immediate entrance into reviewing, and I don't think I am in the right mindset right now. I have been quite frustrated with myself for many reasons, and my parents have been giving me a hard time. Hearing about how my response is "confusing" just makes me even more frustrated because it makes me feel incompetent. It is nothing you guys have done wrong, that's just how I feel right now I find myself becoming unnecessarily angry at odd things, and I feel a need to argue with everything. I feel somewhat depressed, and I fear that all these factors are having a big impact on me right now. The best way to describe my state right now would be to say I feel "odd". I promise that I have become more adept and fit for admin, but my current state is making it difficult for me to reflect that. I hope you can understand what I mean. I am considering closing this application for a bit until I get better, but I would like to continue to do this. If I feel I get worse over the next couple of days, then that is what I will be doing. If you sense a little uneasiness, anger, impatience or anything else in my responses, please be sure to let me know so I can take a little break. I may have said to much, but I am ok with putting my thoughts out there and as I said, I take this application very seriously and the people judging me have a right to know.

Thank you very much, this means a lot to me especially with how I have been feeling lately. What exactly do you mean by "missing spark"? Im just a little curious
 
Sure. What I meant is, that the answers you gave just seem unsatisfying to everybody, as you can see I am not the only one that thinks that. That's what I meant with the missing spark, that gives us that feeling that you improved so much and that's why I wanted to see more of your answers. But that's obviously not up to me, I just hope to see another question/answer thing so I can make up my mind about you. Good luck!
