A video editing tool.

Do any of you know of a good Video editing tool for free, (one that's not Windows Movie Maker).

I need something for class and I rather not use something bad like WMM.

I'm looking for a free program or a demo of a program that would work well.

Tried that a while back but never really got around to installing it, I think it was a pain in the ass to get up and running so I gave up or something.

I'll take a look at it but I can't really go take a look at this moment, as my schools wi-fi sucks badly. But im still open to anyone with ideas. I don't need any major editing but something simple would work nice.
(And not WMM simple).

Well if I had 30 - 90$ to spend I would not mind buying something. But something tells me 11.95 will not get me far with an editing tool.

There's always other ways to get software...

Like asking your mother if you can cut the grass or clean some random room for money.

Well we are already short on cash in our family for one, and two I need this program by the end of this Thursday.

I'm sure we aren't allowed to encourage users to download software acquired illegally, but you know.

It's free.
It's fast.
And you're butt is 99% safe.

I was not looking for it to be illegal in the first place. My Paranoia does not allow me to steal things in real life or the internet. As I said a free program I can use or a Demo.

Adobe Premiere Pro is $20 / month. Not terrible, but really just torrent it. So, so easy to torrent it.

Adobe's also allowing downloads of the older versions of programs(including Adobe Premier Pro 2.0), if you have an Adobe account.
It's not the latest, but if it fits the needs, then it's an alternative to a torrent.

Try Cinelerra-CV. it's free, open source software. You can install it on as my computers as you like and even share it with your friends. It's only available for Linux, but they provide a live CD that you can boot your computer with and run it.
