Some TF2 Servers are going down in quality hard

So as someone who's been on Skial for I'd say about 4 years I have noticed a big issue with the staff and their VERY easy to spot protectiveness toward donators. To the point a donator just recently got added to their team without much issue because they are close friends with some of the admins already; and because of that they were completely able to skip the entire process of being a "trial moderator" because Bottiger lets money talk than actual humanity. Hell if you give any valid criticism like how some admins play puppyguard for the donators because they are in closed servers with each other to the point they'll instantly clap you with a several month long mute despite the whole "we follow a fair system of a pattern of mutes/bans"

First there was the whole incident with them advertising the means of "micspamming" by showing an example on game banana of how to bypass vac-ban detectors, then the whole mass pardon of racists, homophobes, creeps and the like for seemingly "just for good faith"?? And now this quasi "its up to the admin discretion" crap that is allowing some people to just be silenced for excessively long if you give so much as an opinion that is negative about their server that is known for enabling slurs of all kinds because they refuse to update their shitty filter system and are now using AI to manage their site which is just lol. But I guess they wanted to compete with UGC for having a shitty atmosphere so near a potential MVM update of all things.

thos post is further proven with my bullshit month long-turned-into-three ban i got for criticising bottiger and admiral directly for their protection of donators like grigs. and my ban will prob continue to get extended as i continue to criticise them for such. oh well.

i feel for the admins as far as that goes bc moderating any community is a massive pain in the ass and undertaking but im not going to stay silent about my ban bc its complete bs. mute me for 3 months if you want thats fair enough but a fucking ban for """griefing""" over me criticising the server admins a. isnt griefing at all and b. is overstepping massively for a first time punishment. absurd shit

I call motherfuckers out. If an admin is abusing their position, and I am given a speck of evidence to help someone in appeal I will do so always. But if an admin makes a good call and the person shows up and starts doubling down I will support that admin. It’s called not being a hypocrite.
 
lucas i have only ever seen you dickride the admins 24/7. literally thats like all you ever do 99% of the time i see you doing anything in the server. even then i dont deserve a fucking 3 month long ban for criticising the fucking server staff bc i think they do a shit job and could do better. so dumb.

go ahead and ignore me then i guess. it isnt a fucking strawman to point out the absurdity that i would be fucking banned for 3 months over mild to moderate criticism leveled at the staff. skial staff just dont want to address their own shortcomings because then itd mean actually having to do something other than have a stick up their ass for their lovely donors they give special treatment to 24/7. oh well

I'm on my 7th blizzard account, my 3rd reddit account, and my 12th Facebook account. Never made a single PEEP about any punishments or bans. Eat your punishments and shut the hell up.

Because in a community with an open appeal, report, ban, and mute system with near perfect transparency, admin abuse is very rare due to how harshly the community jumps on it and how easy it is to spot.

I was going to go after Admiral for your three month ban actually. I felt it was an incredibly harsh touch for a first time offense and it could’ve been a one week mute because having your admin app declined (likely permanently) was punishment enough.

I would have said it was a harsh reaction to a Admin facing direct criticism.

But you go on running your mouth on the discord and then you write a pretty terrible appeal and then you post here and I’m pretty sure you made that Reddit post too. For your appeal It’s not even the worst appeal I have seen in two weeks. And now there’s nothing I have to defend you. You just look like an asshole, making vague accusations that drag down the community and clearly violate the rules without putting any hard evidence forward. You can’t just go running your mouth like that without something to back it up.

"i didnt say anything about my bans so neither should you" isnt an argument and i have every right to be upset about a bullshit ban. you know its bullshit. 90% of the people who've heard of it think its bullshit. the only people who agree with it are the staff themselves bc theyre the ones whose feelings got hurt by mild fucking criticism from me and other players in the server, and their sycophant yes men like lucas who go to bat for every tiny decision they make constantly. i shouldnt even have to fucking whine about my ban in the first place bc it shouldnt even BE a ban. if i got muted itd be whatever and fair game but a ban? bruh.
