@Aeryn what happens if @BryceM doesn't stop?

You have a solid argument. (Crazy I’m agreeing with you). What you said should have been the go-to argument. Mod enforced rules properly, facts were distorted, and if players want things to change they should advocate for a rule change. I’ve been encouraging the community to witch hunt mods less and try for policy changes instead.

But I think the underlying message here needs to be answered now. What if @BryceM doesn’t stop?
I'm not breaking any rules, lucas. I'm just here to defend a friend (winnie) from what I view as unprofessional behavior. And also poke fun at other behavior.

That’s exactly my argument as well. So what was Sakiko saying?

Sakiko followed the punishment lengths that have been set out for years. If people neglect to read the rules, repeatedly break the same ones, and thus receive increasingly longer punishments, that's entirely on them. Any other admin would have done the same thing if it had been a report on the forums. Additionally, Sakiko accurately pointed out that people were distorting and misrepresenting the truth of what happened, which then calls into question their entire argument.

If you have a problem with the rules, don't misdirect your anger at Sakiko and try to bait her into getting annoyed at you. It obviously accomplishes nothing and makes you look like your true objective is to cause drama.

Edit:

There are no deleted posts anywhere in this thread.

Punishment lengths that are clearly stated to be "guidelines". Hence the name "Admin Reference Guidelines."
Increments of bans actually don't mean a thing in "guidelines" if you did not attempt to make an impact.
Looks good on paper. Not in actuality. Especially when they return to the same behavior.
If you think you can't be responsible for this, then why am I here being told to STOP after a disagreement? Am I not allowed to hold civil discussions, and am I now suddenly responsible for how other admins will act out?

I'm not here to stir up drama. Accusing me in a thread when I just want closure man.
The intent is to stop DR declining, or else the silence that screams in EU will haunt over US.
Other than Jerma not having an answer, no one else will tell me why EU fell apart.

I feel sorrow for Feral. (And @ihop pancakes because I was harsh, being emotionally absent from our conversations back then still)

I feel y'all cornered her to sway that this is a witch hunt in discord when this is all just my concern for DR after being from a server that died.
I don't want it to happen to US and Feral will not be able to host events anymore.

Why can't there be a consensus that whatever happened to EU is revealed and we can learn to make sure it doesn't happen to US, whatever that may be?

Notice how aeryn won't respond back, just give us downvotes.

Hey, if I am allowed to disagree, then they can too.
I hope it's not being weaponized against me just for wanting a server back because I am not orchestrating any "witch-hunt" with this.
You just happen to be concerned just as I am.

i didnt read most of this thread but OP has anyone clarified to u yet that panda and skial's deathrun rules and general punishment stacking are almost exactly the same with the apparent exception that panda is actually way more strict about following their punishment stacking (which is the exact same thing skial uses)

i dont think its that hard to follow the thread of "guy who gets banned on deathrun server plays on other deathrun server in the meantime"

There is no deep state interrogation with a proverbial gun to peoples' heads. No one has cornered her to say anything. If she has said something then whatever she said is her own opinion.

The thing is that we have to find a solution for dr EU, after all it is what we all really want. And if we as the playerbase got more hold of the decisions of what go on with it (because we are the lifeline of it), maybe we'd revive the server. Just make our suggestions be heard. The change to 40 people max was very good but it was reversed. Some maps actually need to come back, even if they have a learning curve or are long. People love dr_scoobydoo, it's a very great map. Neonoir was also a very good map despite of what people say about its difficulty. I understand maps like waterrun which is basically just a parkour map or technoir that's literally got nothing in the end other than a bad minigame and a shit humi. I think that if we were given a choice, to speak to eachother as a community and present suggestions to eachother, vote upon them, we could resuscitate the server. If people who actually play the server and love deathrun could moderate the server, edgy and unpleasant blokes who only join to insult would be banned in an instant, conflict with "griefing" could result in less bans but more people behaving, because as it seems, newer and newer ways of "griefing" that are VERY DEBATABLE are the reason people get banned, not to mention that the way the bans/gags work is unfair and utter garbage. My last mute that was issued by an admin was a 1 month mute, over 4 and a half years ago. Does that mean let's say, I decide to check if I can get in a safespot in a falling-boxes minigame, just to try (very debatable ban), I should get banned for 3 months, over stuff that I did 4 and a half years ago??? There's only one word to describe it, and the word is BOGUS. Lots of stuff happen over 4 and a half years, I am 2 days away from becoming 19 years old, so I was basically 14-15 at the time I played, lots of stuff happen. From being an immature forum crusader and micspammer to a functional adult.

Our message is not being heard and we only see opinions but no solutions whatsoever. When you have a crowd of people that are essentially your lifeline and they are in discontent and they complain about it, and you say that everything is fine, the problem isn't gonna get fixed, it's only gonna snowball. At first you could've thought it was just Cream Tea saying this stuff, just one lunatic as you'd say, but it's an actual problem and more people are complaining about it and it's not because of him at all, it's because of a general discontent and the avoidable death of a server we all love and cherish.

You lot do have a say in what maps are kept by the voting system or map exploits like scoobydoo that was ruining the experience these why the maps you want back was removed there is no infinite storage on the servers so if a map is below a % of voting it gets removed for another map and as another map falls to the bottom that gets remvoed, this is how bottiger generally looks at maps and what to keep.

If a map got removed then its probably has a crash or a serious exploit or quite frankly no one voted for it and it died off and got canned.there have been maps that people have requested to be brought back and i was shown stats that over 48hours it was voted for once

Also when other maps are suggested they are searched for and checked if they key a server or if the map is on a dead server and a lot of the "Very good maps" are on servers that are dead.

A lot of the maps we have was created by people that play on the servers also so we are actively trying to keep things going but the sad reality is TF2 is dying off the player numbers not just skial but across the board are dropping and we need to work as a community to keep things alive or all you have are memories and mvm

Scooby is a pretty beloved map, and most people who didn't like it only disliked it cause of the platforms (skill issue). Yeah, it has exploits, but they aren't that bad (from what I remember). Skial has troll maps like skibidi and hawk (I actually don't mind hawk, in all honesty) that aren't very well liked, but scooby gets removed cause of people not being good at the platform section.
I don't think you can say "we all need to stick together" when just yesterday you were comparing people who simply disagreed with skial decisions to literal children.

Point in hand a user was warned to not constantly cough into mic all they was doing and this is the result:

This is a prime example of why warnings do not help resolve issues - just causes more drama and why generally warnings are not used if people took the warning and acted profesional in their gaming then we could do things like this

A user was coughing on the mic for a short period of time. No one was complaining about it until you warned them lol. It wasn't something to give a warning for cause it stopped after 10 seconds, and no one was complaining.

Try and be accurate on what you say, They did it more then 3-4 times and this caused others to join in as well all they did was cough and nothing inbetween no talking or anything except coughing and after they was asked to stop they did.

it still lasted less than 10 seconds lol. No one else was complaining until you chimed in.

most normal people would just consider this messing around. Of course, as a moderator, you wouldn't know what that is.

stop trying to gas light and provoke a response its highly questionable on your argument with the last bit " Of course, as a moderator, you wouldn't know what that is." and kind of unprofesional as a player.

I know full well and they was told to stop as opposed to silencing - i guess that point is missed on your part - no need to just cough into the ear of other players what is the purpose of it

As for the panda issue that happened around the time skial dr eu was down for a while due to issue at the time but the stats are declining now too

As i said the issue is not a exclusive skial issue its tf2 in general, but i await the investigation from you guys why they are declining also.

And the time lines i was in hospital may to mid august so definately was not me causing the issue

"highly unprofessional" I'll admit I troll a lot, but I wouldn't do it if I were a mod lol. You should know better.
