This may be controversial but hear me out. There is demand for it but the question is can it be supported? Bottiger has mentioned in the past that he doesn't like the idea of more players meaning more waiting time which is a fair point however I don't believe it would be an issue considering most deathrun maps now respawn players for minigames giving people an incentive to stay on and hope someone makes it to the end.

I have seen a server running deathrun with 40 maxplayers but I think that would be too much and 36 seems like a good middleground. That's only 4 extra players. Would it really do any harm? In terms of edicts it would be about an extra 60 max.

In terms of potential balance problems I also don't believe this would be an issue on most maps. There are plenty of long maps with 20+ traps that, with a good Hale, red still struggles to beat even with a full server.

this would brakes a lot of maps because that are made with an exact amount of players in mind unless you make traps doble useable if the sever is full you can always win by going one at a time. -1

if DR was played optimally then 31 runners would already be too much for hale to win

most player are skittish so the optimal root is usually taken also if you use in game chat e.g. stand back I will sacrifice, or players name stop one at a time that's GG

except that's boring as fuck and why you rarely see that done apart from the last few survivors trying to clutch up.
