There was a forum for Rust wipe information. There was a Skial discord channel specifically for Rust wipe information.

People still asked "When wipe"?

No need for keeping an updated list. People won't rear it anyways.

The group isn't there anymore because bottiger didn't want to keep updating it all the time and secondly it served no real purpose. People don't need to know every single staff member and their steam profile. They can make reports and threads on the forums normally. If they have questions or private reports they can also ask an admin who wishes to make themselves available by being online on discord and having open dms

Why don't they need to know? Are you trying to hide something? This is another complaint of mine being that right now server admins seem to be these shadowy figures that you never know about until you get banned by them.

People specifically like you are reasons NOT to have lists of admins and their information or details.

You will be completely okay in life not knowing something. I promise. 😇 Skial will go on. Long live Skial.

If you really want a list, you just need to get a pen and paper and head over to the ban appeals and reports section, TF2 admin have the tag "TF2 Admin" under their pfp - there's no shadowy conspiracy or reds under the bed. You can also check the admin applications to see who has been approved.

Another brilliant idea from Maddo! @Cream Tea go ahead and get on this in a sharable Excel spreadsheet. I'll need it to be publicly shared in a easily readable table format with regular AM and PM updates of any changes. While we're at it I would also like you to track metrics for how many Admins have responded to reports and bans appeals. I'll need a weekly analytics report for each current and past admin. Knowledge is power!

Please have this completed by EOB day tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

What, do you want a list for every time someone breathed on Earth?

Having an easily accessible list of admins seems pretty common sense?
Wouldn't it make it easier to reach out if someone needed help with an issue?
Maybe that's why there's no list?

Why do you need a specific person? In Discord, you can just type @ TF2 Admin; anyone with that title will be alerted. We have the reports section on the forum, which also sends a Discord notification to all TF2 admins when it's created.

If someone has an admin on their friend list they can send them a message independently, as well. I promise it's not hard to figure out who the admins are.

It's about making it easier to see who is an admin or to see how many admins there are.

Could you imagine a scenario where a newer member of the server community might need to contact an admin?
Why does the responsibility fall on their shoulders to jump through 12 hoops to find an admin?

I also have to ask:
What if someone doesn't have discord?
I'm imagining the response will be something like this: "Everyone has discord." or "They can just sign up."
It's a valid question.

You say that someone who has an admin on their friends list can message them?
If someone is friends with an admin, wouldn't they already know who the admins are?

Are you aware of the report system the forum has? I didn’t say you need Discord to file a report, you can file a report on the forum that THEN pings an admin on Discord.

There’s literally one hoop, you’re being needlessly obtuse.

Ah ok I understand. Sorry I wasn’t meaning anything negative by my comment. I’m just here to enjoy the servers.

You did nothing wrong. These fools are just doing mental gymnastics for why there can't simply be a list of admins like every other community has.

Forums have necessary functions for the average player to utilise, you can login with steam and verify email address. Not every admin also wants their steam to be publicly available which is why this list will not be a thing no matter the arguments here

At best it'd be a tool for players to have access to all admins with least inconvenience and at worst it's a tool to know which players to avoid on a server to avoid being punished and possibly harass them

Why not? Are you doing something people won't like?

This is a nonsense argument. Isn't the point of being an admin to make sure players behave on the servers? You're more concerned about not being able to entrap players that making the servers a better place for everyone. Also good admins don't tend to get harassed so if you're worried about that you're probably doing something wrong.

Have you guys not known that such an admin list exists? Look.
However, it's only for Moderators. If everyone wanted an admin list, you could just include TF2 Admins.
Some servers have a full admin list. For example Panda does have an admin list but I haven't seen anyone harass admins doing that.
Not every admin also wants their steam to be publicly available
Then why did they use their forum name on steam? I can just find you easily.
I can just list all the admins, even inactive or no longer an admin. I can just check if they're still an admin by searching the admin name on Forums.

You could replace the 1 to other number like 2 or 133. Try it.
