hi yeah so let's say you knew the guy with the "Chinese characters" (Japanese btw) and you're friends with them like you just said
wouldn't this friend of yours correct you and letting you that they actually have Japanese characters in their name and not Chinese?
and if they were your friend, wouldn't you have already known what their name is? instead of calling him "stupid Chinese" or saying "Chinese shut up"? and why call him stupid in the first place? just cause they kept killing you? and suggesting a map to change to? you choose to insult them just because of that?
and yeah, i know some friends can be lenient on each other and joke about race, but from any random players perspective they would think you're being racist.
cause no one is dumb enough to not just check a person's profile or at least ask them what their name is or just LITERALLY use google to translate their name instead of instantly saying "stupid Chinese"
you say that they're Chinese and the player gets called that all the time, when in fact literally no one does as i have checked the chat logs and the profile, the person goes by "Seb" or "taka".
it doesn't take much effort to alt+tab the scoreboard and right click on the player's profile to see their name and call them by that name OR get this... asking them their name!
not to mention you already seem to have looked at this person's profile knowing that they're Japanese, from Japan, AND has a Japanese username.
which you only did to post your thread into their comments, when you could've done this from the beginning.
you can say that you two are "friends" but never have i ever seen two friends call each other out for a different nationality/ethnicity than what they are.
oh, and btw you had mutes on your history record for being racist, so don't lie about "I'm not a racist" its in the source bans amongst the other 10 mutes you had before for "toxicity" "spam" etc, you can go check it! :D
you just wanted to make a post complaining about this because you couldn't get your way in the appeal and got declined for it.

Why is Juan calling someone "dumb Chinese" when Juan knows there not Chinese being compared to a bunch of slurs by Bottiger?
Also Why is another mod calling Juan a meek child, this and other things such as inconsistent mutes make the mods seems power hungry and biased in peoples eyes.
I don't want to seem overly critical but I just don't want all the EU regulars to stop playing like many have already.

I Often drop into the server with or without my native language of japanese name and it only takes a few seconds to flip up google translate on most names on your phone and aim it at their name on the core board.
90% of the time it's allways "Chinese" for what ever reason as the name they pin like only place in the world is china that has the wording we do - it's almost like us looking at a english name gooing "Mexican?" educate your self a little and there are plenty of tools.
Dumb chinese is kind of offensive especially if he was japanese as there is a cultural anger like russia vs the us same, If they was not that don't remove the point of a stranger or new to skial joining and looking at everyone and going this server is racist and leaving hurting the community and another post on reddit how toxic skial players are.
Also i was playing on the server with you and "Subhuman Headshot" who said they was community banned for racism ((who couldn't tell why *eye roll* and it expires soon)) and a few others was cutting a fine line on the server of toxicity so it does need to be rolled back a bit on there.

What a nonsensical argument and example. If the "black" was using letters from a "normal alphabet" in his nickname, Juan would have called him by that nickname, you are just bringing skin color to this discussion for no apparent reason or simply because you cant come up with a better, actually comparable example.
In this case Juan referred to a guy (with a nickname consisting of some asian letters which I have no idea from what country it is cause im not a specialist) by "Chinese" and he gets muted?? how is he supposed to address him when using a keyboard with EU or US layout?
I'm so sorry Mr. Skial Admins, next time I wanna address someone with Asian characters in their nickname, I shall call them "hey you with Oriental characters in your nickname that my keyboard doesn't possess so im sorry in advance"???
And banning someone for saying "stupid"? Are we kids again or what people? literally every 10 minutes that I play on a skial server I see a much worse slur actually being said with offensive intents (unlike this one) and NOTHING happens.
There was a guy with Asian nickname playing often on Skial EU Payload (I think?) and EVERYONE would refer to him as "china guy", "china dude" etc because it's the easiest way and fastest way for us that don't have Asian layouts in keyboard, no one ever complained, the guy himself never took it in a bad way and would even joke about it, but I really expect the Chat Police now to mute everyone on Payload EU.
This is literally cherry-picking and admins getting offended when the players that were targeted by this "offensive words" didn't!
Meanwhile there's way worse things being said that are actually offensive and whose victims are actually complaining in the server while playing and nothing ever happens, example attached of a guy saying that to a woman in an obviously degrading way and also another example from the same guy.
If you want, I can start taking screenshots for you when actual mutable, offensive things are said in the chat, sure would require some effort but at least maybeee we could have proper mutes happening.
Well I can't say I expected much from the (in)famous "skial admins" anyway.

Hello folks, I've made an account just to comment here, but have been a pretty regular player on the EU payload server for some time.
This thread is genuinely beyond appalling to read. I obviously understand the need to review the community's reports, but I don't think I've ever seen something so frivolous be taken so badly out of context and the banhammer come down this hard.
Take a step back for a moment and consider that the majority of people would not know how to pronounce the name of the player in question. We all play a video game in which the community likes to have fun and interact with one another. The EU payload community is genuinely a good one and so rarely have I encountered genuinely problematic people.
The player in question doesn't use their microphone and doesn't type so much in chat anyway.
Is the expectation that this player needs to type out pronunciation of their account name in English phonetically, before we can find an accurate way to refer to them?
In seeing the characters and referring to them as "Chinese" (albeit now clarified to be Japanese), it's quite clear in the server who conversation is being directed towards. Do you really expect people to search these characters in the middle of a game to clarify to confirm the language?
These points aside, the comments about "shut up" and "stupid" have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the racism. If anything, it's a case of a missing comma in the text (Read as "Shut up, [name of player] or "stupid, [player name]"). It's a bit of fun and not intended to offend. I'm absolutely certain this isn't the first case nor will it be the last. God forbid that people from different nationalities may not use English grammar in the same way or may even miss punctuation when typing on the internet.
You still have a community here that cares about this server and the players here. Regular players have been lost over the years and this serves as reminder of just how dispensable the player base is viewed as.
Context matters not and it reads as though the mods serve to back up one another, also taking additional time to include some personal attacks against these "meek kiddos". I'm sure we can all take great confidence in it's moderation when this is how regular players are thought of and spoken to.

Aside from calling someone Chinese is pretty much normal....
Playing pretty much only on the Payload Eu Server, i gota say i saw alot of ppl either getting muted or banned for pretty stupid things just cause the admin felt like it (we all know who im talking abou ;). But oh lord try getting an admin to get an actual cheater out of the server, can take an hour and more.
Mostly here cause, #FreeMG, he did not deserve to get banned, muted like me for sure we all agree on that but banned? cause he was watching after his friends dog and played on his acc, cmon.

I've never experienced a more extreme form of "moderation" than on this server in ANY game.
Getting banned for things like Juan said here feels like beeing in Kindergarden again lol.
It's 100% understandable to get banned for things like the N-word, but just normal shit-talk is part of any online game since ever. Thats the reason why servers are alive.
If you as admins want to follow on this path of banning for such nonsence, the servers will die, because everybody will be afraid to say or text ANYTHING.
You should be muted on the forums too with how much your argument sucks.
